Never update your Wii. Go to http://wiibrew.org to see how the updates effect homebrew, but there is no news on how 3.4 effects homebrew... yet.

THIS IS ALL A LIE! One of my friends updated to 3.4! AND HE SAID "I still have homebrew and it works" so i told him to prove it and he did! IT DOESN'T DELETE HOMEBREW THIS WAS A RUMOR!

There are MANY restrictions that come with 3.4, and it only excludes the homebrew channel, and loaders, if you don't have the save currently on your system. Its not worth the upgrade at all. If you want the benefits of the upgrade without actually upgrading, download the mii channel thingy.

It takes starfall off, disables the twilight hack, prevents the ability to install new apps, Deletes some unofficial channels (excluding hbc)

Yeah but It installs something that copies over your cIOS' and could ptentially leave your system open to stealth updates from nintendo not authorized by you.

Before you go off spouting in all caps about something you know not too much about, Do some background research outside of "your friend". That kind of research is the reason people who updated to the later 3.3 can't use wad manager, starfall, or Patchmii anymore.

question, is the 3.3v2 update required for wiispeak to work? i just got it and im on 3.2u (i insalled that cIOS that gives you the benefits of 3.3v1 while being on 3.2) im just wondering if i even need to install anything to get wiispeak running (haven't tested it yet)
