you got anything for Windows? (would be nice :))
This works in WSL, which is the Windows Subsystem for Linux. You just need to go to Programs and Features and enable the feature, then you can go to the Microsoft Store and install either Debian or Ubuntu. You basically get a full Linux system running alongside Windows.

For anyone interested, you can build an aroma wuhb by using wuhbtool from dev kit pro. I won't go through in detail how to install devkitpro, wut and wut-tools. You can find instructions here.

You'll need the iconTex.tga, bootTvTex.tga & bootDrcTex.tga files from the forwarder channel on this post

You need to run the mingw64 instance of devkitpro otherwise the rpx won't compile correctly for Aroma

1. Copy devkitPro\tools\bin\wuhbtool.exe to your working directory
2. Build SM64ex or SM64-port from aboood40091 wiiu ports, both works.
3. Copy your compiled .rpx file to your working directory and rename it to sm64.rpx
4. Copy the 3 tga files to your working directory
5. Open cmd / powershell to your working directory and run " .\wuhbtool.exe sm64.rpx sm64.wuhb --name="Super Mario 64 Wii U Port" --author=AboodXD --icon=iconTex.tga --tv-image=bootTvTex.tga --drc-image=bootDrcTex.tga ".
6. Copy the outputted sm64.wuhb to your WiiU/Apps Folder
7. Run and enjoy

Did you manage to do it? I've had a ton of trouble trying to compile it. Always wanted a Render96 build, 30fps build, and a 60fps build, but can't enjoy it. :hateit:

Wish this was built like the Ocarina decomp.
yep, I don't recall if it was difficult, mind is a little hazy.

Has there been advancements in regard to Render96 working on Wii U? Last I heard it just runs too slow on the Wii U to be a viable option. But I would love to hear if something new has happened to get Reder96 working properly on the Wii U.

No idea for now, could never get the compiles to work. I only played it months ago on PC.

There have been some advancements like WUTs new memory allocator or Garys SoH shader work beeing packported. No idea how Render96 works with all these enhancements through.

I’m more interested in a free camera mod, I’m surprised this isn’t already a default option in the decompilation seeing how widescreen and 60fps are always included, is free camera really more difficult to implement?

Well there has been a free camera Mario 64 mod available for the Wii U with mods of this decomp for 1 or 2 years now. And recently someone posted a version that combines that with the 60fps version on reddit (all versions already had widescreen of course) so I just updated to that one a couple weeks ago and it runs amazing.

Where can I find that mod and is it compatible with the PS Vita version too?

Give me a moment and I'll send you a PM. Have no idea what to tell you in regard to the Vita. Oh and just know that when you first boot the game, the default camera will be the original camera. Just hit pause, navigate to the settings screen with R, enter the camera menu, and change the camera to the 'puppycam' option. K, watch your PMs.
