Weird thing is that everytime that I use -for example- Snes9x GX after close the game and go back to the Wii menu and to the Wiiflow menu again, if I launch a Snes game this boot with another version of Snes9x and not with that I choosed before :/
To permanently assign an emulator to a button here's how to do it:
  1. Go to the main tier (the 'wheel menu' with the 5 main buttons)
  2. Press the Home button on your wii remote to enter the Source Menu Setup.
  3. Click on 'Link source buttons to plugins', select a Source Button (e.g. Super Nintendo) and then choose your favourite Plugin (e.g. Snes9xGX).
  4. Remember to uncheck the mark on the plugin that you want to change.
But first.. this thread is for an old deprecated version of my theme (2.0). However, I believe you're using the latest version (5.4.9) because I removed the link of v2.0 from 1st page and replaced it with the link to the correct thread.
This old thread is useless and should be closed from moderators to not generate confusion.
In the correct thread you will find all instructions and a FAQ at the end of the 1st post, to correctly configure the theme to your needs.

Oh yeah, thank you so much for the help Tetsuo.

Actually I'm using the 5.4.9 version and is awesome is just I made a mistake maybe talking about here. If I have some question, bugs or anything else, do I have to talk about it in the correct thread right?

I'm sorry for the re answer but even if I do that (the number 3 point) I only can see something like the pics attached and say "Not allowed!" so idk how permanently assign an emulator, I mean, is not possible :/

Sorry, my bad. I forgot something at point 1.
You go to to the wheel menù, THEN you click on retro consoles. After that you can Press home to go to the source menù setup and change the super Nintendo plugin

Thank you so much for the explanation. Two more question master, if I have to continue with some few doubts about it, do I have to ask in the new Rhapsodii Shima topic right? Btw, if I choose an emulator like NES doing what you said, after close the game, the screen goes to black and I have to force the console using the power button to shut it down... is this normal?

Hmm I don't know... does it happen only with the new plugin? Maybe it can be a an issue with a plugin that you're using. If so, I think that the plugins thread can be a better place to ask

Btw, for any other question about this or boxcovers and more, do I have to ask here or in the new thread? I mean the last version... I don't want to bother with my questions in a old topic or something my friend.

Thank you so much amigo.

Yes use the new thread for questions about the theme, for other questions like cover or general wiiflow issues use the covers collection thread and wiiflow lite thread

Hi again amigo.

I made a question about the boxcovers with Rhapsodii Shima Theme but I guess is not so normal what's happening with my covers. I put them into boxcovers folder but even with that, looks like in these pics... why the whole pic is only in the front and not like have to be? Do I need to change something or this is not compatible? I'm using the NES covers - Shrunken Spine (845MB) (last update: 2022-04-06) for my Nintendo Entertainment System but looks really bad :(

try the following:
- in wiiflow (screenshot 1), press Home and Reload Cache

if nothing changes:
- from yor pc, erase all the .wfc files in the wiiflow/cache subfolders
- erase all files in wiiflow/covers, just to be sure
- make sure full covers are in wiiflow/boxcovers subfolders
- Back to Wiiflow, do a 'Reload Cache' again. You have to do this each time you add or delete covers

Edit: on a totally unrelated matter, looking at your screenshots I just realized that you're using a crt tv with 4:3 aspect ratio. Rhapsodii Shima was desgined around widescreen proportions, so your backgrounds and buttons are looking a little shrinked.
Unfortunately the only way to fix this would be to make a separate version for 4:3 aspect ratios, but I cannot do it at the time, having lost some source material and being very short on free time.

Hi amigo Tetsuo.

I did exactly what you wrote... I erase all the .wfc files in the wiiflow/cache subfolders, all files in wiiflow/covers, covers are in wiiflow/boxcovers and then I reloaded cache again like you said and now, there's nothing, not even one boxcover :(

1) Could be that NES covers - Shrunken Spine (845MB) (last update: 2022-04-06) is not compatible with that boxcover design or something?

2) The covers has to have a special name or extension maybe my friend? I'm super noob and reading here looks like nobody is under a problem like me :(

Thanks in advance!

Nes shrunken spine is correct.
Covers images have to be named like the rom files, including file extension.
Are you using zipped Roms pheraps?
For example if the rom is:
Super Mario Bros.nes
Your cover file should be:
Super Mario Bros.nes.png

.

OMG! I have my NES and SNES zipped! My covers are just like this:
Super Mario Bros.nes now
Super Mario Bros.png

So I have to rename every single png file one by one right?

In the covers collection thread there are a couple of useful links for bulk renaming apps, like FuzzyRenameEXT.
Basically, if you use unzipped roms, every nes cover image should end with .nes.png

Edit: After you rename the covers, don't forget to reload cache in wiiflow

This works only with unzipped files right amigo?

No. If the files are in zip format, all the images file names must end with .zip.png
Awesome, absolutely awesome amigo! Now looks so beautiful and I really enjoy playing now. Is so satisfying see every single cartridge of all favorites consoles. I read that you said something about the 4:3 CRT TV related with the design of the theme and yeah, you're right... looks a little bit no so nice but if you said that you don't have the original files, then I think is impossible to redesign this amazing work for CRT TV 4:3 ratio right? Or is possible using the 16:9 ratio files for the theme?

Saludos great amigo.

Yes, without the original files the only way would be to start from scratch. Editing the 16:9 ratio files would end in great loss of quality. My main problem is time, beacuse of bad problems in my real life... that's the reason why I had to stop all of my projects.
But who knows, if in the future my situation will be better, I could resume to work on the theme with mucho gusto.
I see some people started to mod my theme (even if no one credits me), so hopefully someone will eventually start to work on a mod with 4:3 support.

I'm working on a 4:3 theme to use on my CRT. I just have no idea when or if I will ever release it here, because by no means I plan to support all the plugins we have, but it's covering a good amount of systems now.
But if I finish it and share it here i will for sure mention that I was using Tetsuo Shima as a base early on!
