I got an error when I tried it. Maybe I don't have my data files in the right spot. SD:/3ds/mania is the directory right?that's one of the recursive dependencies. you need to put --recursive when you do the git clone command. please test someone.

try the same directory as the 3dsx, /RSDK/v5 on the root or on the root itself. those are the three most likely locations, but it could go somewhere else. sucks that very few instructions were ever given out with most of these builds.I got an error when I tried it. Because the port isn’t finished? Check the git - it’s WIP stillWhy the op of the port sonic mania make cia with no assets or get a noob installation for the 3ds port? of course you need to provide you own sonic mania assets files from steam.
Edit:Im saying noob cia installation because in this thread many people are making the cia with some errors,it would be good if the author of the port helps providing a good cia like the super mario 64 decompilation.
Yep i know but why dont provide cia? devilution and super mario 64 decomps initial wip provide for noob starters a cia for people doesnt want to mess to compile and get bad results, Only im giving advice here ..Because the port isn’t finished? Check the git - it’s WIP still
which variable exactly needs to be changed? mine crashes on startup. You need to copy the SonicMania/ folder from the Sonic-Mania-Decompilation repo into the root of the RSDK decomp repo and rename it to Game/.
Also be sure to go into Game.h in said folder and change RSDK_USE_MOD_LOADER to 0, otherwise it'll crash on startup
Edit: I'm using the latest devkitARM-r56-3. You can check by doing "pacman -S devkitARM" in the terminal (remove sudo or "dkp-" depending on what you use as your DKP package manager).
I tested your .3dsx build - it hashes the same as mine and confirmed working - as long as both files are in /3ds/SonicMania it works- I dug through Saturns updates to figure that out - any other folder name causes that crashwhich variable exactly needs to be changed? mine crashes on startup.
alright, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had a space in between Sonic and Mania. yeah, seems to work.I tested your .3dsx build - it hashes the same as mine and confirmed working - as long as both files are in /3ds/SonicMania it works- I dug through Saturns updates to figure that out - any other folder name causes that crash
everytime i open it it crashes.that's one of the recursive dependencies. you need to put --recursive when you do the git clone command. please test someone.
quick update: now it workseverytime i open it it crashes.
just the 3dsx file. it will create everything else.Aside from the data.rsdk file, is there anything else I need in sd:/3ds/SonicMania?
yeah, that's the one I changed. that's when I thought it was wrong, when the game crashed, not knowing I had the files in the wrong folder. works fine now.
I didn't put in the sonicmania folder the Data.rsdkopen what? what was wrong?
I finally got to try it earlier, aside from the well known issues like long loading times and lack of sound it ran decently, though there’s no icon when launched from zhBC (should I create my own?) anyway I saw some videos using a CIA file is there one available?that's one of the recursive dependencies. you need to put --recursive when you do the git clone command. please test someone.
