I’ve had trouble getting it to workIf you spent a moment trying to learn about it for yourself, you would see that ffmpeg is also available for the Mac.

It says when I type (brew install ffmpeg) (zsh: command not found: brew)
Once you install homebrew, It does tell you to re-open a new terminal window. After that, you will be able to use homebrew (the brew command), to install ffmpeg and use it to convert your files as described in that 3ds mp4 video player. It says when I type (brew install ffmpeg) (zsh: command not found: brew)
The brackets are just to separate
Handbrake have a version for Mac and they have a built in preset for the 3ds specifically.you know how to do that on Mac since I prefer using Mac
If you never installed brew in the first place, then you will need to do that at https://brew.sh/ .It says when I type (brew install ffmpeg) (zsh: command not found: brew)

Yeah, the howto guide does say to install brew first at that website. It may very be they also just forgot to actually install it.If you never installed brew in the first place, then you will need to do that at https://brew.sh/ .
I completely forgot about Handbrake! Actually, it may just be a better way for you, as it has an interface for that, instead of having to type commands with the terminal. Using ffmpeg ain't complicated in your case as you already have the right command available, but Handbrake may be even more intuitive.Handbrake have a version for Mac and they have a built in preset for the 3ds specifically.
