Hey guys,

I've tried to copy the zip content into my folder and I can't make it work

yuzu-early-access\user\sdmc\atmosphere\contents\0100E95004038000\romfs\bdat\gb

This is the path i'm currently using, which is also using for the graphic mod i installed earlier (00100E95004038000).

0100E95004038000 is the ID for XBC2, for this patch to work it has to be an ID of one of the DLC you have installed.
~~With the new builds of Yuzu you may also be fine using the normal mod folders instead of the sdmc, haven't tested yet.~~
Nope, never mind about that.

Nope, never mind about that.

My bad

I've also tried to move it into my japanese voice dlc folder (0100E95004039063) or into torna (0100E95004039001) for example,
but neither one them worked sadly.

Can you tell me where I can find the new mod folder ? So i can give it a try.

Do you have Torna/TGC/Iira installed? On the menu screen does it show it? Because I think I might have the same issue with yuzu-early build...

New mod folder won't work - but you can right click on the game entry in Yuzu to open Mod and Save folder locations

I do, i've installed all 7 dlcs.
Right now my mods are installed into Torna's folder.
I've also tried to move it into 0100E95004039003 because it was mentionned in another post but no luck here either.

PS: I can navigate from main game to Torna back and forth when i'm ingame.

Yeah had the same issues with my Yuzu-Early access. After removing all the updates and DLC and reinstalling them it worked fine - perhaps because of switching b/w base and Early-Access. Fwiw I put it under \0100E95004039003 - NEW RARE BLADE PACK DLC (yuzu\sdmc\atmosphere\contents\0100E95004039003)

No that's a fair question, v2 was unwittingly released without realizing it broke the game. So I took it down and it's been the queue to get fixed. I should have updated the OP to reflect that.

I'm not as familiar with 1's changes besides a few character names (Sharla/Carna) and some of the religious terminology being shifted around. AFAIK it's not on the levels of 2 or even 3.

If you're still missing the bit about the Omega Fetter, it's サンクトスチェイン/Sanctus Chain in JP, adding an "s" to it might make it sound better, but that's my opinion.

EDIT: Also there is a bit bugging me regarding Glen

The Chinese script refers to him as Guren, 紅蓮, crimson lotus, which is associated with flames. This is somewhat referenced in his Heart to Heart, fire, flames, Guren of the Blue Flames (which is ironic in itself), I'll leave the naming to your discretion as well.

What this is for: Replacing the primary character and place names with the original Japanese ones.
What it's NOT for: Fixing the heavy localization or changing every single NPC and landmark back.

For this patch to work you must place the files into any installed DLC_ID folder for it to work.
For a list of all possible ID's click here.

Then ensure sure you have LayeredFS enabled when playing the game.
You should see "Torna" translated to "Iira" on the Menu Screen.

Status
The patch is 100% working and playable on base game and its DLC - tested on v2.0.2 and v2.1.0 of XBC2, modded Switch and Yuzu.
However there are a fair number of bugs found with Mor Ardain and character names. These are planned to be fixed in patch v2.

Known Bugs

On the menu screen where it says "Swap to X" the names will often be cut off early (e.g. "Swap to Homur") due to the layout being pixel perfect.

TGC has the names translated in the menus but not in the dialogue.

I was editing the script for XC1 and XC2 and reverting the heavily localized lines and (sometimes) lines that flat out mischaracterized entire events and then noticed that I couldn't go past the character limit from the original text with the tools I found online(XbTool). Would be grateful if someone could point me towards a way to add in more characters.

Yes unfortunately. The person doing the major scripting stepped back a bit, so I started trying to do the process on my own but went completely into the weeds trying to get it to work for 3 instead (launch hype and all that). When I can free up time again I'd like to get a proper v2 going again.

I never got the tool myself, but I think you could get away creating a script using BdatEditor to update the (decrypted) bdats as you see fit

I'm trying to edit some bdat files from Xenoblade 2 with BdatEditor and everything works fine until I try to add more characters that the ones the string already had, which gives an error.

The changes work in-game but adding more characters would be key for what i want to do.

Does anyone know of any way or tool that would let me to do this?

PD: I finally found a tool
