New here. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what does it mean when a game in TWL++ doesn’t have a rotating icon, but only has a question mark and doesn’t load? I’ve tried AP patching my Pkmn White 2 dump and getting other AP patched ones from the internet several times, yet none of them worked for me. They never displayed the square custom icon, and when I boot the rom, it always loads to the white bootstrap loading screen, then the top screen goes black and the bottom goes white, and I have to go to the home menu to exit. None of my other DS games (or even my one snes and gba game) do this.

I’ve done the basic troubleshooting such as running in DS mode, running in nightly, and having the latest TWL ++ and bootstrap. Any help is appreciated

Once the CFW is up and running how do you unlink HB.title from download play so download play can be used again?

1. Open Download Play.
2. Open the Rosalina menu, which is normally done by pressing L+Down+SELECT.
3. Scroll down to ''Miscellaneous options...''
4. Press the A button twice.
5. Done. You can now repeatedly press the B button to exit the Rosalina Menu.

Lodis gba rom does not run on gbarunner 7/9 via AceKard/Wood. Not even shows the GBA logo.
Can anyone explain to me noob where the above quote is based on?
If a patch is required, then please add steps for noob to apply.

I can play GS1 rom just fine, but would like to play GS2 after that on NDS. However, gbarunner7/9 does not get past the GBA loading screen. So where can I find said patch and how to apply to GS2?

I assume it means the 3DS build of GBARunner2.

The most noobish question of them all: Can I run retail cards on Luma? I tried to run my DSTWO card but it is not recognized.

Sorry, it's been a while since I used my handheld and forgot many things. I updated Luma and my firmware version to the latest version.

Edit: It seems my DSTWO seems to be a special case. Just tested another card and it works? May it be broken? I did not use it at all...

Edit2: After "repairing" the MicroSD card and replacing the firmware data (it was on the newest before though) it works again? I'm confused, but glad. Still, this is odd.

hello guys, i have a couple of cuestions, sorry for the english beforehand.

i bought a secondhand new 3ds today and well, the guy said it came like stock, however i was checking and it actually comes with luma 8.0, and FBI, but it doesn't seem to have GM9, or rosalina menu, plus is version 11.2.0.... i was wondering if you guys could tell me who to restore it to stock, so i can update it to the latest version (11.14) and then install the latest cfw by myself. i have read the 3ds.cfw guide but it seems to need GM9 and like i said, it doesn't seem to have it.
If anyone could help me to update everything without bricking it i would really appreciate it

First, follow this. (To update to the latest version of Luma3DS, you need to download this, extract it, and put 'boot.firm' onto the root of the 3DS's SD Card.) Then, follow this. Overwrite any files that already exist.

Have you considered visiting the site that's written on the card?

While it appears to be down, you can still see it on archive.org. Unfortunately, it ominously suggests your card may be a fake.

I think the same things I thought before. Visit the website written on the card. If the site is down, use archive.org. Or find the card in the YSmenu thread.

Hello, so I have some .3DS format games on my PC and I was going to convert towards .CIA to install on my 3DS via FBI.

I googled some and noticed people suggesting "3dsconv" python script for this, telling me to visit here: "https://github.com/ihaveamac/3dsconv" but those google results were kind of old and I know how the scene is always evolving, so of course, I'm curious if it's still the best method?

I'm also curious if there's step by step instructions on how to use this for someone with no Python experience, because I honestly don't know what to do from looking at the github page. It says drag your CCI over the 3dsconv.exe which seems simple enough, but is a .3DS a CCI or something different? I also tried dragging my .3DS over the .exe and it didn't seem to work. I'm really not sure what I need to do in regards to python but yeah, if someone can explain this converter tool to me in a step by step way I'd really appreciate it greatly...

Edit: since posting this, someone else suggested that I also install them using this: "https://github.com/ihaveamac/custom-install" which is made by the same dev, aka ihaveamac, and I'm just curious what you guys all think about this as well? It looks really cool anyway, it's just new to me so figured I'd ask.

These ntrboot-compatible DS flashcarts are generally recommended:

How do I backup my 3DS? my HDD with my backed up files died so I lost everything. It's been a long time since I last backed it up though so I don't remember at all what to do. I remember something about an OTP and godmode9 but that's about it? I think you can backup your NAND or something but I completely forgot how to do it now please help..

Edit: Holding start doesn't enable godmode9. I guess I need to install it manually? is godmode9 the only thing I can use to backup the OTP and NAND?

Hello,
I'm struggling with the installation of homebrew on my 3DS. It's a device that previously had homebrew installed but was factory reset, the system had the latest version of Luma already installed because of this, but I can't seem to get Rosalina menu to boot up no matter what I try?

The L button is broken but I have also tried using config.bin files to map it to a different button combo and nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I want to install English firmware via emunand, on a Japanese 3DS. Is there a way to install emunand on a 11.14 Japanese 3DS? Everything regarding installing emunand seems to require an older firmware version. Is this still the case in 2021?

I've already installed cfw on my Japanese 3DS, but can't play USA region games online, so emunand seems the only way to do this.

thanks, buy i'm not actually looking to run nds games. I'm looking to run 3ds games. sorry i should have been more clear. I've heard great things about Sky3ds+ flashcarts, but i can't find any googling. Does anyone have any opinions on this flashcard or a link to find them?
