I remember it being something like useast.ndas.nintendo.net or something, where bans are stored and if you're on the list, the Switch displays a "Restricted by Nintendo" error.

Well, that's hard to say but I think Nintendo Server have everything store to ban every hacked system. I highly recommened you not to go online. It is higher safe and avoidable. If you really wants to use online then get the 2nd Switch said 2nd version of Switch available in store for cheaper if you can afford. Go for it. Otherwise, avoid online for hacked Switch, really. ;)

Edit: Other option... EmuMMC and SysNAND for safer online.

It's most likely that all of the Nintendo servers block you from using the services when your console is banned, I doubt it's one specific server just for checking bans.

Use emunand + incognito and enable airplane mode, so you will block the nintendo servers from going online with cfw and don't waste your time trying to discover such an useless information. Btw don't listen shadow, i don't know why he passes his time giving useless replies everywhere and he wants everyone with an hacked switch to get a ban but there are people like him in this world so let him be.

If there's complete access to the switch, why can't all the necessary info be changed to unban?
Hypothetically you could spoof all the info with valid info from an unbanned Switch, but that means sacrificing the online for that Switch (using both would get them banned, obv), so it's pretty pointless.

I don't have the answer for you but hypothetically if there were a single server that checked ban status, what would you plan to do with that information? If your goal is to redirect to a spoof server that gives a "not banned" response I don't believe that'll work. Unbanned Switches are given temporary access tokens to communicate with the rest of the Nintendo servers and you can't spoof access tokens. The server that determines if you're banned and the one that gives the access tokens is likely one and the same.

3DSs could easily be unbanned. Didn't they also run on access tokens?

You could unban a 3DS by using the unique identifier from another 3DS, it works because it wasn't that easy to get banned on a 3DS in the first place. Nintendo is using much more advanced security systems with the Switch.

Neither system really used tokens. Well, the Switch uses it but that is not what gets banned. The 3DS used a seed that wasn't actually tied to the device and people could dump/share hence why you could get unbanned on the 3DS. Nintendo wised up and used a certificate that is unique to the console so even if people could dump them, sharing them was mostly pointless since they were device specific.
