Well I guess you can do that. I was about to suggest making a backup of your Nintendo folder, deleting everything except YouTube, then move the Nintendo folder over but that also involves making a copy of the Nintendo folder. Honestly, the easiest method is just installing the YouTube .NSP file by itself again if you have a copy of it.

Hmm good point... but I think I'll go with the deleting method just so I have a tidy emuMMC as I won't be playing games on it anyway.

Oh and another question, when following the guide it wrote that Lockpick RCM will produce a prod.keys file but mine also generated a titles.keys file additionally. Is that one homebrew guide outdated?

I also noticed it says "Press R to launch Homebrew" although for me it's ZR.

Well the problem is, I didn't think about hbing my switch until after I got it. I also didn't have the power to choose what kind of switch I got because my parents got it for me.

Would it be possible to use a browser exploit? Because there's a dns settings thing that lets you connect to the web browser.

I'm trying to get Goldleaf working. I'm reading the instructions here: https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/blob/master/Quark.md

Under the Quark Windows setup instructions it says this:

"The best way to install Java 9 in Windows (or a very simple one) is to install AdoptOpenJDK 11 or higher."

Then it says this: "After installing it, double-clicking the JAR should be enough to start it."

I installed that file in the link but I don't see the JAR file anywhere. I did a search for it and can't find it. Where is the JAR file supposed to be?
Goldleaf is arguably the worst title installer so I recommend switching to any of the other available ones such as Tinwoo Installer.

I've formatted my SD Card to install L4T Ubuntu, bur totally forgot to backup the EmuMMC Partition. I still have and EmuMMC folder on the root of the SDcard next to Atmosphere folder. I've recreated the EmuMMC with hekate and it's working ok. But is there a way to recover what is in EmuMMC folder on the SD card?
The contents can be recovered but without the corresponding tickets, you cannot launch said content. And tickets are stored in the console's internal memory which in this case is the partition that you lost.

Title keys are keys used to decrypt digital games so if you have any legitimate eShop titles, Lockpick will produce a title.keys file. These are separate from prod.keys because prod.keys contains keys that are shared across all consoles while title.keys are keys of all of the digital titles on your console.

Would it be possible to use a browser exploit? Because there's a dns settings thing that lets you connect to the web browser.
Listen, unless you're a hacker, you're not going to come up with an exploit experts haven't discovered yet. Leave the suggestions to the professionals.

I updated to 11.0.1 firmware and the latest version of Atmosphere and I know that Goldleaf and Tinfoil aren't working (they don't launch for me), but one other thing I noticed: when I try to open the settings on the Switch Home screen, it hangs there and can only be restarted with the power button. Is this common, or anyone know how to fix this?

Can somebody please suggest a good program for installing XCI and NSP games that I can transfer to the installer wirelessly via FTP? Preferably with a tutorial as I seem to be missing something as I've tried things like Goldleaf and Tinwoo but I've not had much luck with them. I've installed Sys-FTPD-Light (FTP Server) and FTPD (FTP program).

That is not common. I would recommend starting fresh with your SD card in order to wipe out any lingering files that might be causing the issue.

is it salways worth upgrading atmosphere to latest version?
Usually it is although updating Atmosphere means you have to update your patches because there is a patch known as the Loader patch which is specific to the version of Atmosphere. If you already using the latest version of the patches however, this is not an issue.

Hello everyone! I recently hacked my switch and i have some confusion about these options in Hekate:
  • CFW - sysMMC

  • CFW - emuMMC

  • Stock - sysMMC
I was wondering which one i should install nsp's to play offline and which one i could use to play official games online. I know theres a chance of being banned but i read that if i leave the one with nsp's offline i can still use another for playing official ones online.

Thank you!

The answer you're looking for is whether to use emuMMC or sysMMC for going online versus installing .NSP files. The right answer is it doesn't actually matter as you can go online with either without fearing a ban so long as you do not use any homebrew applications in the one that you cannot go online with. Adding on, if you use the opposite one to launch homebrew apps, it is imperative that this one does not go online otherwise you risk getting banned. So in reality, your 2 options are either going online with sysMMC (preferably Stock) and offline with emuMMC or online with emuMMC and offline with CFW - emuMMC. There is no right or wrong answer by the way; its just down to personal preference.

CFW = Custom Firmware
SysMMC= Sysnand
emuMMC= Emunand

If you have a clean sysnand you can setup a emunand partition, and play all your backup there, and use sysnand for online stuffs.

Based on my personal experience I would say use CFW - emuMMC for play offline and use Stock -sysMMC to play online. I've been using this setup for almost 2 years and I haven't been banned. Also I've never went online using CFW - emuMMC and neither have I ever booted into CFW - sysMMC.

Why not use USB?

Is it really as simple as connecting to my PC via USB Mass storage in hekate? I thought you had to use a special program such as Tinfoil or Goldleaf to install the games properly on the SD card? Such as for games over 4 GB in size, I thought the game installer program splits them or something?

The reason you think you need something special is because the simplest way of installing .NSP files involves putting them on the SD card and if the .NSP files is larger than 4 GB, then you either need exFAT or to split the file. USB installation involves installing the contents without putting it on the SD card therefore FAT32/exFAT or the size is irrelevant. .NSP files are just containers or .ZIP files if that makes it easier for you to understand so you don't actually need to put it on your SD card to install it. That is also why when you install a .NSP file from your SD card versus wirelessly or via USB you would need double the space on your SD card because installing it from the SD card simply makes a copy then unpacks the .NSP file.

tl;dr Installing via USB doesn't involve putting the .NSP file on your SD card so the size is irrelevant.

I'm still confused. How do I install games with a NSP or XCI extension via USB that are over or under 4GB to a FAT32 SD card?

I get a "No cheats loaded!" message in the overlay for Animal Crossing NH.

Atmosphere 18, FW 11.0.1 Edizon 3, overlay/tesla, all freshly downloaded and installed today.

I created a cheat file here:
SD:/cheats/Cheats/01006F8002326000/cheats/36EEBA0C26F14216.txt

I cleaned the older cheat files and atmos/edizon files etc, added the new 1.6.0 AC NH update cheats to the file. (That update is installed), and... nothing "No cheats loaded!".
I also changed the config template line to "dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x0" for atmos.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? What did I miss? Thanks!

You just install them normally. There is nothing extra you need to do to make it work. If it is not working, then it is an issue with your setup such as the cable or computer.

So in Hekate do I just go to USB Tools > SD Card. Which opens the SD card on my PC then I just copy and paste the games into the card? What folder do the games go in?
