Is this normal? I bought the DS Lite as a second (used) so...?
Sounds like it's been flashed with FlashMe. That doesn't mean much for you, it was mostly used to boot DS games off a slot-2 cart without the use of a PassMe/NoPass slot-1 cart back in the day, but nobody boots DS games off slot-2 carts now.

Forgot to tell you, each time I boot up my EDGE flashcart, it boots up normally, but I set the boot mode to manual in the DS settings... Is this normal? because I have an R4 and it boots to the DS menu before booting up the flashcart.

Some flashcarts are able to skip the intro on DS and DS Lite systems (Action Replay does also this).

and how do I fix this?
You could flash it back with NoFlashMe. I would not recommend doing so. If the flashing is interrupted it will brick the WiFi chip (and the DS will no longer boot until this is repaired). NoFlashMe is more dangerous than FlashMe because FlashMe has an emergency boot function if only a fraction has been successfully written.
You have nothing to gain (only the useless H&S warning) by doing this and you would lose the ability to start DS software from SLOT-2 and unsigned Download Play software.

Good luck and have fun!

Personally, I’d keep flashme for the anti-brick protection against rogue/malware software.

Iirc there is a stealth version of flashme which keeps the H&S screen, but honestly I wouldn’t bother, especially since the flash cart will likely bypass it anyway.
