thank you for this app.

Is there a way to have it default to "export to zip = on"? perhaps a feature to save user settings, or read from a config file? Rather than requiring it to be turned on every time?

@JRoad Thanks. That should work. Didn't come up in my searches for some reason.

Make sure you're pressing plus to exit. Favorites, blacklisted titles, and config are saved then.

Thank you! I will try that today. Much appreciated.

EDIT: After pressing +, it saves as expected. Thank you!

I guess i didnt want to press any button that wasnt listed at the bottom in fear of it doing something i didnt want it to do lol.

So since + wasnt listed at the bottom of the screen, i never tried pressing it before when in JKSV. (whats weird though is in every other app i press + to try to exist first before using home. not sure why i didnt try that with jksv.

I've been having problems with the last 2 releases of JKSV...
Before I start, my system is using Emunand 10.0.1 on SX OS 3.0.4. JKSV version 04.10.2020 works really well on my system, backing up and restoring without problems
However, when I updated to version 05.20.2020 and 06.07.2020, I can't backup any save game manually anymore. It will just freeze for a while, with no file output
Batch backup seems to work, but I don't dare to restore from those files, because it seems too "fast" when it backed up all the games.
So for now I'm back to the old version, which worked flawlessly
Any input regarding my issue? Thanks for the amazing homebrew btw.

I noticed the same, that single backup doesn't work when you hit A button only, but it does work when you hit L or R + A buttons simultaneously.
I regularly backup my game saves like this and restored them recently after doing a clean update of my CFW.
Can't compare with the old JKSV versions as I only use it since last June.

Thought I was the only one! Lol. Hopefully it can be addressed soon. Really liking JKSV so far.
Did you try my method?
In JKSV, open the game you want to backup and press L+A buttons. Your game will be saved as it should be while only pressing A button (no difference)

Sounds like the keyboard can't open. Especially because the batch and auto named backups work. The batch backup is fed through the same functions, but it just loops through everything. They're gonna be identical to a manual one. Try running JKSV through a title if you're not doing that. JKSV can function for the most part running in applet mode, but you lose the keyboard unless you're running atmo.

It worked! Never thought letting it on Auto fixed that. Thanks!

Apparently that's exactly the problem! The keyboard won't open on SX OS' homebrew mode. Tried the .nsp version, and it worked! Still gonna stay on homebrew version though, using the L+A (auto) trick. Your auto naming is cleaner and easier to manage anyway :D. Thank you!

I don't know if this question has been asked here before or if this possibility already exists (I couldn't find it anyway).
In the main menu you can use Y to dump/backup all existing saves. Is this one-click option also available for a restore of all titles?
(At least the most recent saves, for the titles that have already created a save in the system)

No, there isn't a restore all at the moment. 3DS had it long ago, but it was still manually controlled. It would loop through everything and let you select what save to use. The problem with doing a restore all on Switch is that I made the decision early on to have all accounts share a game folder to make it easier to move saves between them.

I'll think about what might be possible. Things are slowing down at work for me, so I should have time soon.

I'm guessing the backup saved file is either incomplete or improperly dumped. I've had a similar issue before on the 3DS when I transferred my console's saved files via FTP which, at closer inspection, appears to have left some data from the system. Doing a manual transfer directly to the SD card, which ensured that no file is left uncopied, addressed it for me.

How do i manual transfer directly to the SD card?

hi all, i'm having some trouble with JKSV and hoping someone can help me...coz if i don't fix this, my gf will most likely leave me as she has spent so many hours on this game and i may have just lost her save file!

basically, i updated to the latest CFW (11.0.1 AMS 0.16.2 E) and thought i may as well update to the latest AC version of 1.6.0 (i think i was running 1.4.1 previously, can't be certain though) and the turkey event. after searching online, i came across a guide using JKSV and switchtime (i'm sure many of you already know how this works so won't go into detail).

i followed the instructions, including making a backup of the save (or so i thought), but the game didn't start up after the update. after more searching, i found a fix where you had to hold the + and - keys to boot into management mode (or something like that), eventually it worked...but the game restarted from the very beginning! i didn't go past the registration part so i don't think the game autosaved.

so i thought "that's fine - i made a backup of the save - i'll just restore it". followed the instructions on JKSV...but still nothing! panic mode begins to set in!

a previous post mentioned that the save game creates a 1kb passphrase file only - i have the same issue. i made a backup of mariokart and it created a number of 2mb .dat files which looks correct.

here's the strange thing - when i go into the system settings and select "delete save data", i can see there is an AC save file that is 222mb large.

so i'm really at a lost. i tried deleting the game and reinstalling. i was thinking of reinstalling the 1.4.1 update to the base game, but i can't find that particular update file anywhere.

anybody have any ideas please? thanks in advance!
