Sorry if this is a basic thing but I went through like 15 pages of the thread and didn't see anything, is it possible to get Wii, Game Cube, and nand titles to all show up together? And is it possible to hide some nand titles like the WiiU menu, Mii channel, Wii Shop, and what not? Basically just have it show Wii Ware and Virtual Console games. I can get Wii and Game Cube together, but not nand stuff. I'm trying to make this as easy as possible on my nephew's WiiU, he's 5 and if he doesn't have to mess with the Wii menu and doesn't have anything but Wii Ware and Virtual Console in there it can't really get much easier for him. We are using the Rhpasodii Shima theme if it matters.

to combine wii, gc, and channel games:
go to here - https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite/releaseshttps://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite/releases
download wf_internal_plugins.zip and extract it to root:/wiiflow/plugins.
run wiiflow and go to the Home Menu by pressing Home button on wiimote once.
click on Select Plugins.
in the menu that opens put a checkmark in each one. wii, gamecube, and either emu nand or real nand.
then go back to main screen and you should see all of your covers.

to use the source menu or flow you will need to add a source button to your source menu ini. and you will need to set the magic to all three magic numbers.

magic=4E574949, 4E47434D, 454E414E
or
magic=4E574949, 4E47434D, 4E414E44

plus you will need make images for the button and button selected or cover for the button if using sourceflow. add the image filenames to the source menu button. put the images in the appropriate folder.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to hide games using the categories menu.

check your categories menu and see if you already have a category titled Hidden.
if so you do not need to make one. Skip to Now run wiiflow below.

if you need to make one. find categories_lite.ini in root:/wiiflow/settings folder.
open it in a text editor. and look for the [GENERAL] section.
rename an existing category to Hidden like so.
cat1=Hidden
and save it.

or

add a new category.
at the end of the last category hit return to start a new line.
then add cat#=Hidden
# must be one more than the last category.
Also add one to numcategories=x
and save it

Now run wiiflow.
for each game to hide - select the game, choose categories, and put a checkmark in the Hidden category.'
back at main screen
choose categories menu. keep clicking the Hidden category till it changes to an X.
return to main screen and those games should be hidden.

@Demetris and anyone else interested.

I fixed wiiflow 5.4.6 compiled with ppc r36 and libogc 1.8.24

It wasn't a libpng or ppc r36 issue. It was a mistake by me. I missed adding a commit by Blackb0x that allowed paletted png images and he recently updated the splash and wait animation images as well as some of tetsuo's theme images. that's why they would not show.

It seems to be working fine for me. although i did not test dosbox with it.

here is the download - https://www.mediafire.com/file/m2w6c45bi2o3s78/wf5.4.6_ppcr36_libogc1.8.24__latest_libs.zip/file

and here is the github branch i added to wiiflow lite - https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite/tree/Latest-ppc-and-libogc

to compile it all you need is devkitppc r36 and libogc 1.8.24. the updated libs needed are included in the portlibs folder so no need to download them.

So I've pulled out my Wii from storage and wanted to update my apps. When updating myself from an older version of Wiiflow Lite to 5.4.6, I was unable to load the app. The large, static WiiFlow image shows, and then a brief glimpse of the animated one, then it quits on its own, returning to HBC. The most recent one that works for me is Wiiflow Lite 5.4.0.

When updating, I simply decided to start fresh and deleted the root:/wiiflow and root:/apps/wiiflow directories before copying to the SD card.

Any advice? I tried both 5.4.6 from github, and the one in the comment directly above this one.

I have been using the 5.4.6 ppcr36 1.8.24 fix provided. It is working well, issues are gone for me. I'll continue to use/test this version and report any issues if any.

I do not have dosbox installed, problems may still exist there.

Do you have HDD connected also? If 5.4.0 is working correctly, makes me believe you have a SD/HDD conflict.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Meaning you have an older version installed on your HDD. If not, please inform if your softmod is current. You pulled your Wii out of storage, how long has it been?

You need to use wiiflow start configurator to turn force cios off or on. But i dont have the link for it handy. After changing force cios you will want to run wiiflow 5.4.6 and see if it works. Another possible fix is make sure you are using d2x beta 52 not alt beta 53.

@RunningSnakes I do not have any conflicts between USB or SD, thankfully.

@fledge68 I couldn't find Wiiflow Start Configurator, but it was indeed a cios problem. I ran a Wii System Update to clear out any odd or incorrect ios, then tried running Wiiflow Lite again, and it actually brought up the coverflow instead of kicking me back to HBC, which was a surprise. So I installed d2x v10 beta 52, base 56 onto slot 249, and I'm back up using the standard Wiiflow Lite 5.4.6.

Thank you both for the help!

did you use wiiflow to download your wii and gc covers?
or how did you get them and what folder did you put them in?
Covers are in wiiflow/covers.
I have the covers in pc because I have another wii with the old wiiflow and it is going well there. I have tried to clear the cache and create the cover again and the same thing happens.
I have also tried to delete the cover and download it online but not download gamecube covers, only the banner. In wii games, the cover I can download it and it fine

move your gamecube covers to wiiflow/boxcovers. run wiiflow and select gamecube and goto home menu (press home on wiimote) and select reload cache. not sure why the won't download for you.

I recently updated to 5.4.6 (from 5.4.4) and almost all plugins stopped working. It seems that WiiFlow is no longer able to properly locate the .dol file when the path given starts at the root of the device. For example the following plugin file was used so that the app could be launched either as plugin or from the hombrew channel, and it worked just fine in 5.4.4 but no longer works in 5.4.6 (kicks back to System Menu)

[PLUGIN]
displayname=Nintendo
magic=46434555
coverfolder=nes
dolfile=usb1:/apps/fceugx/boot.dol
romdir=roms/NES
filetypes=.nes|.nsf|.unf|.nez|.unif|.zip|.7z
consolecoverid=nintendo
covercolor=000000
bannersound=nes.ogg
arguments={device}:/{path}|{name}|{loader}

Were there any code changes that might have affected this?
