Sooooooo.... This is a mobile game, or what?

Yacht Club Games has shat out so many games at this point, I can't keep up.

I always thought it was odd that even though there were a bazillion, brazen Dr. Mario knockoffs and even one clone of Yoshi that I can recall, I don't think I ever saw someone try to copy Wario's Woods.

Of course, it doesn't look like this is a direct copy of Wario's Woods either, but it's kind of close.

Weird, from a game named "Pocket Dungeon", I expect it to be a mobile game of some sort.
I was thinking the same thing. The only way this could be more confusing would be if they named it "shovel knight mobile".

EDIT: from the press release kit, the platforms are "TBD" (To Be Determined). Still...I'm going to assume that at least the switch is a given...

1) By Yoshi, you probably mean Tetris Attack/Panel de Pon.
2) It’s nowhere close to Wario’s Woods.

Well, you haven't played it yet, have you?

You control a character that runs around trying to match up blocks. It's a lot closer to Wario's Woods than a lot of other things.
1) Ah, right. Forgot about that one. I'm surprised someone made a clone of that of all things.
2) I have played it plenty, whether via emulator or NSO NES Online. Pocket Dungeon exhibits a couple similarities, but aside from those it's pretty different.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
