As long as they were legal in Pokehex then yes. Now if you are going to an official tournament I honestly wouldn't know because I remember a world champion got his title stripped from using gen Pokemon because of a poke ball not being the right one that's when they discovered his Pokemon was hacked.
As the person said above me, yeah you can, as long as they are legal. There are a lot of pre-made databases out there with legal shiny and normal variants of every Pokemon in game that you can import into your save if you so wish sire. 
Thanks so much for input everyone! I recently hacked my switch and was looking around for two days on discords and forums. I ended up doing a few link battles yesterday and omg its so much mkre fun now!
No prob lad, enjoy! There is a lot more fun to be had with your hacked switch outside of just editing in Pokemons! Just be cautious!
