Enjoying Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, the new IOS and Android version of Animal Crossing? Then you might be interested to know that Nintendo has released more details on their upcoming service entitled Pocket Camp Club. The monthly paid subscription service is intended to not only make more money for Nintendo, but also add new features and improvements to the overall gaming experience, just like Nintendo Switch Online.

The first plan announced, the Happy Helper Plan, allows you to choose an animal character to fulfill requests and achieve event goals, for US$2.99 a month. The Cookie & Depot Plan gives you access to the entire fortune cookie collection to browse and buy, even if out of stock, and store excess clothes and furniture, for US$7.99 a month. Both plans reduce the time for crafting things, as well as a journal about the animal characters and exclusive news to Pocket Camp Club members.

The official YouTube videos can be seen here:

Well! It's about time one of my articles hit the front page at last! :D Now I can die happy. :P

Personally, however, I'm not really fond of how Nintendo is handling these paid subscription services. I think that they should allow Gold Points to be used on the Plans, but there's no word on that.

I think you just broke my sarcasm detector.

Anyway as per the last few times I looked into things then when we said Nintendo should do Andrios games this was not what we had in mind.

It's a pity. Smells like p2w / microtransactions / that kind of manure.
Yeah, it really does stink. I don't like it either. I'm used to paying once for something and keeping it forever, not paying consistently like you never own it. It's as if you're watching movies on cable TV instead of on a DVD.

This game is so stupid. It's just one of those typical mobile games. I've had enough after watching 15 minutes of gameplay on YouTube. Glad I never installed it.
They are even destroying Mario Kart Tour with their P2W shit (needing specific drivers to get all needed point multipliers and so on) but that one -at least- has fun gameplay.

I just miss the puns. That's my biggest gripe.

But basically it's:
- pay money for the game to run on autopilot so you can just play when you wanna
- pay money to have access to pay-walls, rather than them being in the disney vault

I thought for sure the second option would entail giving you some cookies on a regular basis...

*edit* so the second one lets you have 5 cookies a month. that's it? The first one gives you enough in-game cash to buy at least that XD. Not sure why anyone would buy the second one over the first one. Maybe they hope some folks will combine them? Personally, I think the second one should include the first. I won't get them, but I have some friends who will.

Why the hell would anyone play this? The Gamecube game has Nes games, at no extra cost. The DS game is quite good and the 3DS game is okay.

Yes, you pretty much got it right with the first part. I didn't catch, however, that you only got 5 cookies a month! That's not beneficial - that's bull- well, you know. If that's the way Nintendo wants to handle it, then screw them! I'm not going to give in to buying a plan.

I suggest that anyone who plays Pocket Camp leave feedback on this to Nintendo. Tell them why you don't like it, and what should be done. If we don't tell now, Nintendo will go ahead with what they're already planning to do with the plans. That's why it's important to leave feedback NOW.

I really don't care much what Nintendo does with their mobile titles. I'm just concerned to what extent this will interact with Animal Crossing New Horizons. I hope its minimal, but I can see some sort of great unlockables not being accessible without also having the mobile game, and that kinda junk annoys me.

I think you should care. What happens on mobile platforms can affect other platforms, too. If Nintendo finds that subscription services do well in Pocket Camp, they may do something similar for New Horizons. We need to voice our concerns to them before that happens. Just so you all know, I already left feedback on this, so please don't think I'm trying to get everyone to do something that I'm not doing.
