Hi,
Mostly noob to Wii U Homebrew,
Its a simple question, Is there a way to use mt PS3 and/or PS4 controller on my Wii U as a Pro Controller?
I know about USB2VPAD but that emulates the gamepad and I want o play with my friends without spending 30$ getting Wii U Pro Controllers.

TLDR:
Can you use a PS3/PS4 Controller as a Pro Controller?

Any help is Much apreciated.

It is possible for Nintendon't, so you can use it to play Gamecube games.

Some USB loaders may use it for the loader itself, but I don't believe it's possible for games.

Many homebrew emulators support it. I think retroarch does?

To quote forums superstar Cyan:
homebrew : yes, it's possible. developers have to code its support.
Some homebrew have a partial support (USBLoaderGX, or some emulators have PS3 HID-USB controller support).

Retail game : no, it would require a recompile of the game's sources which only the developers have. it's up to the developers to decide which controller they allow the players to use.

I guess only Smash Bros WiiU supports HID USB (the Gamecube USB adapter is actually HID-USB).
Maybe some fighting games also support HID for joystick arcade fighting controllers?

So if I understand you correctly, I can only use it on nintendon't or some Loaders but outside of that I'm screwed?

I was wondering this myself, the 8Bitdo adapter could have been a great solution, but I tried it and it doesn't work. Maybe in a future firmware update.

HIDtoVPAD has support to emluate almost any HID-controller as either a gamepad or pro controller, what version are you using?
