SX OS 2.6 Beta released: full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x

From Team Xecuter:

This new 2.6 BETA of SX OS adds full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x, including ALL functionality you expect when using our product. We've been pioneering our own unique and proprietary solution for defeating any future firmware protection and we're quite happy with the results so far.

This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. We are working hard to bring the SX OS experience to all of you who are stuck with an "unhackable" switch. Stay tuned for more news!

Keeping in mind. This isn't TX's forums. If you want to get away from Atmosphere users go there and ditch GBAtemp. Otherwise, just stop complaining.

and gbatemp isn't atmosphere's forums.. so if you want to not see anything SX OS related, then go elsewhere. Schoolyard behaviour can only be treated with schoolyard behaviour

Gbatemp isn't owned by atmosphere users, the moderators should stop giving them a false sense of superiority.

nobody else is complaining about that, mostly people well on these threads complain

here is my original reply:

because generally SX OS users DON'T troll other CFW users.. we acknowledge you're using the CFW you want, just as we are using the CFW we want. We feel no need to denegrate atmos or reinx except where users try to do biased comparisons. Now that TX have at least released their proof of concept 7.x beta firmware, I look forward to them releasing a stable version - which shouldn't in theory take too long since 7.x is now working for them - and then seeing the direct apples to apples comparisons of the various CFW which can then be posted in every thread so every user can see which CFW suits them best.

and here is my edited reply for @kumikochan as they apparently cannot draw inference from comments and think that all statements are blanket black and white, across all forums. So the keys three words "IN THEIR THREADS" was added twice in my original comment.

Working on it, but Atmosphere is however on-topic. It's a great option of people who wish not to spend money on a CFW.
That's an argueable one. It giving me moral right to smash inside Atmo topic with something like "How's emunand going? Are you gonna [borrow/steal/peek] it from TX or what? Why don't you credit them then?", just like Atmo fans did with "Heeeeyyyy, hunnnz, no 7.* yet, r we? I say it won't happen cuz I believe so!".
That's the whole point. I've never seen anyone inside Atmo-topics, using TX and blaming others for using atmo/Rei.

What messy thread.
Actually fun read with the morning coffee.

Myself I do not see the need to always be ''updated'' as SX OS user there is no need to rush since most games work on 6.x anyway that another debat.
For now I am not complaining on SX OS as it main function I brought it work and will always work.
Mod Zelda games and Mario kart deluxe that all :)

Good job to them and thanks all for such funny thread it pass time :D

Like small girls... please let it be. It's annoying that you can only read "fights" here. Everyone can use his favorite firmware. I'm really happy with SX OS - TX does a great job. I'm not angry that I had to pay a few euro for it. Later I will check atmosphere for sure, as soon as they offer features like emuNAND and a XCI loader. Until then, SX OS is FOR ME the better package.

I'd like to note that GBATemp already has rules afaik within regards to not posting encryption keys and that SX OS is violating these rules with this release.

The rules are unclear. It's not a title key and the TSEC key is not copyrightable as it's too trivial.

https://gbatemp.net/help/terms

"We do not allow or condone sharing of title keys or any other form of copyrighted material or content."

Neither the keys, nor the SX OS binary are posted anywhere on this site (At least not by team TX). Try again. :rofl2:

By all means, get the tsec key and release it publicly.
I'm sure Nintendo ninjas will have no problem convincing you otherwise in court.

The 2.6 binary is linked to in the main post.

Edit: Ninja'd
