If you weren't aware, March 10th is MAR10 Day, as decreed by Nintendo. To celebrate the yearly occasion, the company is holding a promotion on the European Nintendo Switch eShop for any games that star the lovable mascot. Purchasing Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will result in double the normal amount of Gold Points earned. Meanwhile, North Americans that haven't joined in yet can party it up by getting 50% off one of the aforementioned titles if they buy a Nintendo Switch console. For those that already have a Switch system, Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart will be selling the five games in digital form for $39.99 each, a discount of $20.00 from their retail cost. The offer will last from March 10th until March 16th.

It's rather annoying to limit the best deal for existing console owners to the US only. I haven't had any luck getting my credit cards processed with a US retailer this time (gotta try right? :) ). Saving roughly $30 CAD on NSMBUD would be nice!

What cheeses me is the fact it's retail only and not for those who want it digitally. What kind of dumbass at Nintendo made that decision?

And the balls of these people to price this handheld tablet the same as a ps4 or xbox.
Spot-on: both on the price of the console and games. It's been 2 years and the cosole here in Australia is AUD $400. What a joke. But as long as the masses are buying in healthy numbers, there is no reason to discount. Just rake the cash in. The 3DS XL and 2DS XL prehistoric hardware ought to be selling for a lot less than they are too...but again there is no business need to cut prices. Sony is out of the portables game. Virtually all dedicated gaming portable sales (outside of phones and tablets) are going to the Love Hotel kings

All of them will charge what the market will tolerate...Sony and Microsoft too. If given half a chance. And they all have examples of extortionate pricing on downloads and hardware.
