Nintendo Switch Online NES games for March 2019 revealed

Last month saw the addition of Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby's Adventure to Nintendo's Switch Online NES lineup. This time around, for March 2019, Nintendo has revealed that Kid Icarus and StarTropics will be the new games for the month, with both being playable starting on March 13th. Kid Icarus is an action platformer, and the first game in the eponymous series, which originally released in 1986. StarTropics is a top down adventure game, which has players explore various island villages in an attempt to rescue the player character's uncle from aliens. Both games will be available to anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

While the character because famous due to Smash Brothers, the first Kid Icarus game is nothing special. Even Wario Ware ignored the game until Pit appeared as a character in the Smash Bros series.

Wow Nintendo knows how to scam people out of money, I don't get it it's almost like people just pay because it's Nintendo and they don't care what they get.

I mean Playstation can provide 2 games a month for free and not games from 1996, this month Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness released a few years ago but the big N can't provide some what modern games from the switch for free, WHY.

I'd rather get the games japan get as well. It's a right shame we're still not getting access to them.
But you can get access to them. Just create a Japanese account on your Switch, go to the eShop with it and download the Famicom app (called ファミリーコンピュータ Nintendo Switch Online). Once it's downloaded, launch it with your account that is subscribed to the the online service. You'll get access to all the Japan exclusive games plus the harder japanese SMB3.

If they keep releasing two games (that I bet most of you all have already all played) each month, by the time they release a new console or what, there would be prolly just... 150 games top.

Yie Ar Kung Fu and Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus but they are missing out on Star Tropics.

I haven't. I didn't have a Wii growing up or a Wii U.
