Many Gateway users just use .3ds roms and never bother with anything else, if that's the case here then there's nothing really worth keeping on the emuNAND. But moving it over is simple enough if he has stuff there he wants to keep. I just don't want to give him too many instructions at once, that might just confuse him, and he might not need to do it anyway. If he doesn't have any eShop stuff installed, that'd be fine, but unless his emuNAND is trash, it makes sense to move it over in the end, no? At least get rid of it so that it's not wasting SD space.
He might have to do a ctrtransfer anyway if his emuNAND is semibricked. But we'll deal with that when it happens. It's not a hard thing to do, the only issue is finding an 11.2 or older ctrtransfer image.
