Welp, so Christmas has come and gone and EbootleggerJOE's Santa never made a public appearance. Anyone have any new news?

And yes, I know that M0rph3us1987 is set to speak on his exploit in a few days, but that is a different method than the one mentioned in the OP.

All these news releases lately are cryptic to avoid blame. PS3 reversed engineering involved huge legal battles. Reread the news articles past few weeks and it's a huge riddle. So many people coming out of nowhere with a piece of puzzle to a master plan.

Also think about it. These mysterious riddles involve it's not an exploit, not this or that. but a "METHOD"... method to install Custom Firmware possibly? Being teased about Method to play Games???

And all this time PS4 scene was not dead after all but in development for CFW. Just my speculation, and all these homebrew tools. It sounds like foundation all coming out to prepare for launch of CFW.

Amazing masterminds at work.

It only works on the newest firmware.. I’m thinking it has to be a way of gamesharing with more than one account. The fact that it only works on the latest firmware to me indicates that the console has to be connected to PSN

I missed this piece of news regarding The Method. Do you have a link that states that it requires the latest firmware to work?

Thanks! Missed that amongst the holiday hubbub. So I wonder if we can "activate" The Method via PSN and then play games offline?

I'm assuming any of the games activated/unlocked via The Method will have to be downloaded using a retail package. If so, I wonder if we can pre-load several retail pkgs to our hard drives, then activate the games once The Method is released so that we can quickly unlock games for future offline play after Sony patches things?
