I actually don't fault them for creating a 6.2 whining thread to merge that all into. If they have to take the time to read through all that it just slows down legit discussion and makes it harder for the mods to read what is worth reading. It's not like, unlike other black screen issues, there's anything to do but wait.
As far as things to add, I'd put Spoofing at the top of my list. I reported an issue where a console can be officially updated offline when trying to play with others locally, and while the mods never responded, shortly after a mod mentioned the issue in another thread as something that needs to be fixed.
That would in turn prevent as much whining the next time a FW update breaks things, but it would be even better with integrated online LAN play.
The new forum makes more sense to work on if they are going a different route though : Spoofing actual online play. Since most games just use a server to authenticate and coordinate, what if they release a system of using their accounts to play online with their system? Then bans will be much less of a concern to anyone.
Beyond new features, they also have critical bugs to fix, such as the way boot 0/1 files are generated when emuNAND is created or moved. In line with that they need a way to fix an emuNAND moved on SX OS 2.3, and should add a way to expand the emuNAND up to 32 GB. Since the Nintendo folder is coupled, a way to move eShop games and DLC would be good.
The ability to not just replicate checkpoint, but access the saves on the SYS AND and extract / inject would be a good feature to add.
I doubt they'd add XCI to NSP, since XCI is their exclusive offering and it's easier to manage XCI files and swap between consoles, but NSP to XCI would make sense.
As far as version number, jumping to 3.0 seemed odd to me. If they did that, it would mean jumping to a Stable release rather than another Beta. Personally, I'd rather wait another month for a 3.0 Stable than a week on a 2.4 Beta, because if Nintendo patches their fix I want it to be perfect first to minimize the impact Nintendo can have in the future.
