ROM hack of: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon (3DS)



Pokémon Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon are mods for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Like my Rutile Ruby & Star Sapphire hacks and my Nova Sun & Umbra Moon hacks, their main purpose is to provide a more challenging game experience while not artificially limiting the player. The premier feature of Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon is the ground-up redesign of Pokémon Trainers in the world to increase the game's challenge. Every trainer in the game has been edited, and the level curve expects use of the Experience Share, which means that the player levels up very quickly. Every Pokémon in Trainers' teams has a a proper moveset and many are holding items. The Elite Four and Champion are Level 100, and the player doesn't need to grind to equal that!

Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's secondary focus is inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee's "20XX Hack Pack" which is designed to improve competitive players' ability to practice and grind. In Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's Legit Build, everything obtainable is 100% legal and legitimate for real online battles or trades. In all Builds, some features are designed to make preparing competitive teams much less of a hassle. Competitive hold items are much more available, a 6IV Ditto is available through an in-game trade (holding a Destiny Knot), Eggs hatch in one cycle, and Level 100 Memento Blissey battles are available in the Battle Buffet once the main story has been beaten.​

The way to read the table of encounters is horrible and we can not understand anything, has someone done a better job?

since you have to overwrite the luma folder, can you play this and rutile ruby at the same time?

Omega Ruby and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon have different Title IDs. Therefore, you shouldn't lose any folders by overwriting the Luma folder (Unless, it has the same folder name/files) So, yes they should both work fine .

Great hack. One issue though.

When applying the patch, the pk3ds crashes when I try to randomize the game (clicking on Wild Encounters on pk3ds).

I've tried applying the patch with no randomizations, THEN separately applying the randomization with the most updated pk3ds: however this results in a game with unmodded trainers.

Any help here?

This hack is great currently trying a monotype flying run (still trying to catch everything I come across for post game) but struggling on the first island (damn stealth rocks!), just a question about the encounter tables - how do they work? Is each table on each map relevant to a specific patch of grass? For example in Hau'oli Cemetery there two tables, I'm chasing down the Yamask, however on serebii there seems to be just one encounter table so I thought both grass patches in the area would be the same?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question - keep up the great work, this hack, and the challenge it brings, has made me fall in love with these games again - so thanks :)

Each table is a different grass patch.

the link attached to the locations of every pokemon (in the expanded build) opens a pcloud message saying "this link is delete by the owner." , is it only here?, if not can you please update the link? edit: ok the the txt with the locations comes with the download of the game

can someone please help me the drag and drop method doesn't work the icon doesn't change. I'm on luma 9.1, on pokemon ultra sun 1.2 update, game patching enabled, i dont know why it isn't working

Made an account just to post this bug report:

The battle with Office Worker Michelle in Ula'ula Meadow bugged out on me. The UI displayed that she had 5 Pokemon. After fainting her final Pokemon, Mega Camerupt, the battle did not end. It acted as if she had one more Pokemon to send out, but she didn't. Another strange thing was that it displayed Camerupt as still being alive and having some health left, even though I had just fainted it. Choosing to switch out or not just resulted in a battle against nothing: no opponent Pokemon model (though it still displayed Camerupt's name and health bar), every move failed, switching out did nothing, and I couldn't run. I soft reset my game and tried again, and the same thing happened. It's not a critical bug since it's not a mandatory battle, but it did lose me some save progress since I had to reset. For full disclosure, I have used PKHex to edit my Pokemon and save data, but every other trainer battle has worked fine up to this point, so I doubt that is causing it.

I have been enjoying the mod so far. Thank you for making it.

Hello, i need Some help, when i want to rebuild the rom in CIA, the Modified rom.CIA is just 600MO while the real ROM is 3.2 GO
Can Anyone help me plz !! :'(
