Try setting Slot-1 launch method to Direct in settings screen, if not set to that yet.

v6.4.1

Update instructions
  1. Overwrite the "_nds" folder and "boot.nds" file on the SD root, with the new ones from the .7z file.
  2. For DSi CFW users, put "title" folder from "CFW - SDNAND" root folder, onto the SD card root.
If you're asked to overwrite, click "Yes".
  3. On 3DS, install the two CIAs in the "cia" folder.
What's new?
  • 3DS theme: Top icons on the bottom screen are now stylized like the top icons from the 3DS HOME Menu. (thanks to @Vulpes-Vulpeos)
  • 3DS theme: Cursor is now shown, regardless if space is empty or not.
Bug fixes
  • DSi/3DS theme: Pressing A or START on an empty space no longer crashes and shuts down the console.
  • Correct icon is now used for "TWiLight Menu++: Last-ran ROM" (same icon as main "TWiLight Menu++").

Oh my word! I had no idea anything like this existed. Can't wait to get this on my DSi's tomorrow :)

A cool story: My first moddable console (at least in a cool way) was a PSP-1000. Bought it when I shouldn't have whilst at uni, and a day before I was due to visit my GF at her uni. I. could. not. get the hack working at all. Sold it on eBay. Years later when hacks were more refined I managed to my PSP 2000 modded. Then my career took off! One random day I saw 2 Pokemon DSi's at a game shop (new), the Zekrom and Reshiram [SP!] models. Both looked gorgeous and I couldn't pick one so I went for both. But this was in 2012 and I was fully into my 3DS so they've sat locked up never being used until I found them again today. Wanted to find out how the hacking scene went, if indeed it was possible to get games on the main menu (a la modded PSP).

I'd get this installed now but it's 0336. My wife's in bed (the GF from years ago :) ) and I don't wanna disturb her digging through for the DSi's. And reason for the rambling here is that I'm pretty excited about this hack (how sad!) and I wanna tell someone. I guess my dogs next to me on the hallway as I write this out but he doesn't understand much.

Also hacked my NES and SNES mini because WOW what systems! I'm building a mod for my SNES Mini at the moment, an enclosure so it can behave like a mini handheld (with HDMI out) for when I take the family out camping in the motorhome :)

PS. I don't pirate. Never have. Here I'm just gutted at Nintendo's lack of eShop on the DSi, the weird ownership of games you have bought. Zero interest in modding games like *some* people choose. No sir. Plan is to get all my GB and GBC cart rips transferred onto it, as well as old games I had bought but were moved to my 3DS when they arrived :) I've always been a believer in paying for content, in helping creators financially. It just seems so... uncouth and unbecoming to take something without running. I bet pirates would cry if commercial gaming died, LOL! IIRC the state of homemade hack games (especially in the PSP and Wii era) god... they were poor quality! If gaming resorted to that I'd just sell all my rare and unique gaming items, call the whole hobby a failure, and just spend all the proceeds on books instead.

EDIT: Sorry. I thought I'd try a silly big post because I enjoy typing on my MBP 13" butterfly 3 keyboard. It's so smooth and quiet! Anywho forgot to say I signed up here 14 years ago and this is my first post. Ain't that something?

I still can't get games to work on my DSTWO. It seems like since the shift to TWiLight the DSTWO seems to have an issue. When launching with the DSi menu theme, I get a white screen. When I launch with the Ak2i theme, I get a slot-1 error. I've even deleted all of the files and did a clean install and I am still having this issue.

Is the flashcard set to DSTWO in the settings?

Yup, I followed the instructions on the main page. In the settings.ini it says "FLASHCARD = 5"

Hmm. Just tried it myself.
Seems the flashcard selector is bugged. I'm getting "akmenu4.nds" not found on my DSTWO, after launching a game.
It says "FLASHCARD = 5" in my setting.ini, not sure if that helps.

I found a minor bug... Everytime I exit from flashcart menu by clicking power button it will restart to DSiMenu++ Settings, not to main menu

IMG_309201811127.jpg Found a minor bug on the emulator side, the GBA icon is out of place where the GB icon supported to be.

thanks. my acekard2i is acting weird (i lost 1 sd card and tons of saves, and sometimes the ak2i not work). with Twilight Menu ++, i've be able to play ds games in my dsi and o3ds (via SD slot) flawlessly. not only that, but transfer saves is easy is pie. i hope, in the future, we get the cheat function too. thanks man!

v6.4.2

Updating from v6.4.1 and later
  • Overwrite the "_nds" folder on the SD root, with the new one from the .7z file.
What's new?
  • nds-bootstrap v0.12.2 is included!
  • Acekard 2(i)'s DLDI driver has been added for direct flashcard support.
It is not confirmed to work with this flashcard yet.
To test it with your AK2(i), enable Slot-1 microSD access in the settings, then touch the cart icon in the ROM menu.
If the location is now "Slot-1 microSD card" after the sound played isn't the "launch" sound, then the flashcard is successfully read!
If you're stuck on a white screen, then hold start after launching this app and before the ROM menu appears, then turn off the setting.
  • When using this app on a flashcard, you no longer need to set the flashcard manually, as it now checks the flashcard via DLDI friendly name.
Bug fixes
  • DSi/3DS theme: The GB icon is no longer overwritten by the small GBA icon.
  • DSi/3DS theme: After launching Slot-1 card, you will no longer be sent into settings screen, after launching this app again.
