The mmap stuff was really all I had trouble with compilation-wise. Commenting out those two lines allowed me to compile a core that would freeze on a black screen upon loading a rom. I've already scrapped what I did, but I could probably redo it without too much trouble. Honestly though I'd rather look into porting something as a standalone emulator. I just hate all the plugin nonsense I'd have to deal with. N64 emulation is a mess.

Ehm, guess we all went lazy.

Gonna do a wrapper so we should get reARMed to run too

Haven't tried that, but from what I've heard it should probably run a bit slower than usual overall.
(also this counts as a filler/bump post, at least for me anyways)
Resident Evil 2 has a fair bit of slow down but I wouldn't say it's unplayable without a little bit of dedication.

Everyone!
Here's Beetle-PSX (with and without audio), Yabause, and Beetle-PCFX, all now with SALAMANDER SUPPORT!!
:download: Download Now from MEGA
USAGE:
Copy the cores over to the sd:/retroarch/cores/switch/ directory.
Gonna try this when I get off work. Wanna see how my favorite PS1 game runs.

Wow, you actually did get it to compile? OMG
Although, in my eyes, I doubt I would find an N64 standalone emulator that can be ported to the Switch.
Care to show a screenshot of the core's menu?
Yeah, it didn't take much to compile. Here's everything I changed. You want a sceenshot of the core's menu... like this?

It just shows the name of the core. It still freezes on a black screen when loading a rom. I'm not even able to open the RetroArch menu while on the black screen.

I went 118 pages nice with it.

I am fed up

Just wait till rearmed is ready ffs
I understand. But it feels like you went out of your way to comment something unnecessary when you could have just ignored it. Not trying to chastise, but I just want to keep an aura of positivity here if possible

Like the 300 comments about n64 support?

Its a unfunny running joke by now and I am still being nice to him.

But what I really hate is unfinished ugly proof of concept work of me being spread around.

Did anyone ever look how I massacred that core? lmfao
