oh ok, so on that way you run cfw on the real nand on lower fw, and update to the latest with emunand? so when you are on the real nand you keep your lower fw?
Most people will be running the CFW on their EmuNAND since that is the point of installing it in the first place. Only reason I could see of using the CFW on your SysNAND is if you plan to stay offline with it to avoid detection by Nintendo. By that logic, you could play your legally purchased games online with EmuNAND while still reaping the benefits of CFW on your SysNAND. And this is of course as you said to keep the SysNAND's firmware as low as possible in the hopes of better exploits being discovered in the future. Although we can now achieve the bootrom exploit with a softmod, it still requires some sort of tethered connection whether to your PC, phone, or even TX's dongle.

Also, TX never mentioned anything about a spoofer in either of their FAQs plus they also mentioned that their product is supported on all firmwares (which is technically true). Lastly, they stated that installing game updates would have to be done the normal way of being on the latest firmware and grabbing them from Nintendo's servers from your Switch. So, to me at least, they have no plans for firmware spoofing for the time being.

yeah thats why I ask because none of the teams says nothing about that, so do you think we can install cfw without an adapter to connect the switch to the pc or without use a jig to enter rcm on lower fw? i'm on 2.1, i'm confused on this because we don't need nothing to run pegaswitch and homebrew on the switch so we are gonna be able to do the same to install cfw? because i don't have a 3.0 port on my pc, neither the adapter, and if i need i think is better ((for me) get the SX pro.

if you want atmosphere with homebrew and their features do not update, if you want piracy, homebrew and tx features, update and use sx pro

To load payloads from Windows computers using TegraSmash, a USB 2.0 port is sufficient. You do not need a USB 3.0 port for Windows computers to load payloads. I have no idea why this is such a common misconception.

So you doesn't need nothing with atmosphere, anyone knows how it's gonna be to install? Because I read a lot and I don't have idea, but we don't need the clip or a jig right?

Well so I just need an adapter to connect the switch to the USB, where I live is hard to find a 3D printer so I think I have to get a jig online

To connect the Switch to your computer, a USB-C to USB-A cable is sufficient and readily available under $10. However, I believe you are referring to the jig to enter RCM because that mode enables us to send files through the USB port on the Switch. You may consult this list of ways to enter RCM that don't involve a jig but a jig is the most user-friendly method as the others can potentially damage your Switch. The choice is yours. https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-ultimate-list-of-mods-to-enter-rcm.502145/

For 1.0, if they buy a game called Puyo Puyo Tetris, they don't need to enter RCM. For firmwares past that and up to 3.0, they mentioned they may release the software-based exploit capable of this on the same day that the CFW is released. For firmwares 3.01-4.1, there is another software-based exploit that is unreleased, but it will not come out on the same day as the CFW. So initially, most if not all firmwares will need to enter RCM to install the CFW.

with atmosphere in 4.1 or less the entry point afaik is software based so you will not need the jig or the dongle, 5.02 only rcm

Yes, alot of people have been bugging the team regarding trimmed ROMs (XCI) files, and I can confirm the latest internal beta works great with apps like this one https://github.com/Destiny1984/XCI-Cutter

And they are busy working on more cool little features for SX OS to be ready for launch in middle of June. -- So stay tuned for more news!

Does the Switch charge battery in TX OS if we leave the thing docked? This may have been indirectly answered with their sleep mode comment, but I'm a noob.

Why wouldn't it? How in the world would booting a patched OS prevent the Switch from loading?

Just figured I'd ask. Like I said, I think their confirmation of working sleep mode took care of any concerns I had, but basically I just wanted to make sure I could boot into SX OS, take the dongle off, and leave the Switch docked when I'm not using it. Thanks for your input!

As long as the switch doesn't shut down or you reboot it, you'll stay in the SX OS mode.
