Mii Studio now available for web browsers

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced that they would be making a web browser app that would allow players to create and edit their Mii characters, right from their computer or mobile device. Weeks later, Nintendo delivered, giving us Mii Studio, which functions as the name implies, letting you change features of your existing Miis and create new ones. For the first time ever, this allows for those without a Nintendo system to be able to make these avatars and tie them to a Nintendo account.

Thanks for clarifying. Do you know if there's a way to transfer Miis from the Switch back to the Wii U/3DS? Like amiibo but the other way around?

Yes, actually. You can just set the Mii on the amiibo on the Switch to the one you want to transfer over to the Wii U or 3DS. Any wacky hair/glasses/whatever color you might have won't show up in that color though.

Well, no. After you scan the amiibo on the Wii U, it only shows the Mii registered and gives you no option to save it to the system.

Let me get this straight. There is no way to add a Mii from your Switch to your Nintendo Account? If I want to use a Mii I have to make one on my Wii U/3DS or PC?
...what? I don't understand what you mean. The Switch has it's own Mii Maker. It even has a Nintendo account attachment thingie.

You can't add Miis from the Switch to your Nintendo Account despite it being attached. That's Nintendo's online expertise™️ for you.

I thought Miis were being phased out. Guess I was wrong
Why on earth would they? Even if Miis aren't quite as strongly in the spotlight on the Switch, Miis are still one of Nintendo's most recognizable properties, to the point of even being playable in Smash 4 (even if their movesets and such were mostly repurposed moves from other characters).
If they were gonna phase out Miis they wouldn't have even bothered implementing a Mii Maker on the Switch.

I get the feeling that the Mii studio in browsers will probably end up being used to re-implement the feature of the 3DS/Wii U Mii maker that let it scan your face and make a Mii for you.

We had them on Miitomo, no? Or couldn't you link them way back?
