I have successfully injected ntrboothax into my system, and now I have to hold (Power) + (Start) + (Select) + (X) for several seconds to boot into SafeB9Installer to install boot9strap. I put the magnet in the place that puts my 3DS into sleep mode and have pressed the button combination many times, but nothing happened, so I'm at a loss in how to finish installing Luma on my 3DS.
Hi, i had the same problem some time ago with an EUR old 3DS.
1: Make sure the sd that is inside the 3ds (not the flashcard with ntrboothax) is clean, with only the files that are necessary for the hax work.
2: To avoid problems with possible currupeted files, extract the files to do the process in the pc (NOT DIRETCT IN THE SD), so then grab these on the sd as any normal file, so then eject from the pc and put inthe 3ds.
3: Make sure that the SD is formated in fat32 and in cluster size of 32kb (some sds because of the size cannot be formated by windows assistent, so you'll need another program to do that, id suggest the MiniTool Partition Wizard, its free and easy to use.)
4: Make sure that after formated in the right format, boot one time in the 3ds to let the system make the home menu files inside sd.
5: Make sure that the flashcard for ntrboothax that you're using can be used in any firmware ('till 11.6)
6: Make sure that the flashcard for ntrboothax has any sd inserted on it, files doesn't matter just put a formated in the slot of the flashcard.
7: Make sure that the magnet is right in place, i'd suggest put it on the right side of the 3ds, its the less awkward position to do the combo.(if it is, the blue led and the 3ds shouldn't turn on, unless you're using the button combo). Hold it for at least 10~15 seconds before releasing it. If the blue led fade off without booting the safe9installer, you sure are missing one of the steps above.
