Shadow of the Colossus PS4 developers working on another remake

Bluepoint, the company that was responsible for the Shadow of the Colossus remake on PS4 spoke with Digital Foundry and revealed that it's currently working on another remake. Of course, it wouldn't reveal specifics so it remains aynone's guess which classic gets a face lift. When asked about whether there are any plans for an original game, Bluepoint president and co-owner Marco Thrush responded with the following:

“Well, we could but we’re doing another remake. This project served us as a great point of growing the art team to the point where we can take on a full triple-A game major scope of art content. So now our next step is, let’s improve the art pipeline, let’s improve the engine, let’s improve workflow for artists, let’s grow on the art side some more to handle our next project because it’s a bit bigger. And our next focus is, all right, let’s work on design and add new stuff to get to the next remake, because now that can be our sole focus of making sure that’s where we put the time and everybody else, they’re already at a level where we can perform.”

Peter Dalton, the technical director of Bluepoint, added the following about the company's design skills and growth:

“With Shadow [of the Colossus], the studio most definitely grew in both number of people and skill level – and so we continue to grow and expand and look at areas of weakness. One area that we’ve not explored very deeply is, ‘What does our design prowess looks like? What is our ability to build something original and to expand it, rather than just upgrading something?’ and so we look at those things and we are constantly trying to enhance and strengthen the studio to get to a point where, yeah, doing original development or whatever comes our way, we’re fully capable of doing it.”

Some people speculate that it's going to be a Demon Souls remake, but nobody knows for sure. What do you think is it that they are currently remaking? What do you WANT them to remake?

there was an odd pool i think os ps4 twiter or whatever saying would you like a demon souls remake? yes or no, so its either demon souls or simply Ico.

Sotc was really great! My gf wanted that I play the last guardian because its from the same developer but I don‘t like it :/ i would like if there was something similiar of sotc

Bluepoint almost exclusively makes ports and remasters of Sony games. So, the fact they are working on another port or remaster doesn't surprise me.

I still gotta play the original PS2 one but this game smells like free PS Plus offering 2 years from now.
