Okay, I have a serious question in regards to updating. I desperately need to update to BS9 (as I am STILL using the old Menuhax method; yeah, I am SERIOUSLY outdated ^^

. My question is, what do I need to do to transfer over my existing EmuNAND (I'm on like 11.3 I think, I'll re post the specs when I can)?

Boot to sysnand. You can do this by taking your sd card out and booting. Change the theme to uninstall menuhax. Then you can follow https://3ds.guide. When the guide gives you the option to do the move emunand section, do it.

Boot your console without the SD inserted
Put the SD card in when you see the home menu
Change the theme
Follow https://3ds.guide from the beginning
Follow the optional move emuNAND section when the guide tells you

Could someone help me? I was following the 3ds.guide but when I got to the "Section IV - Configuring Luma3DS" I'm getting a black screen instead of the luma configuration screen, and I copied the luma boot.firm to the root of my sd card

Are you seeing a solid blue light or a blinking blue light (as in it turns on then immediately turns off)?

A solid blue light and my 3ds keeps on it doesn't turn off

Perhaps it's just randomly not autobooting to config. Force boot to config by holding select, and pressing the power button, releasing select when you see the config.

I tried to boot holding select but I'm still getting the black screen, maybe I bricked it

Try holding start to boot the GM9 or the Luma Chainloader.

If you uninstall CFW, will Soundhax work again (on the compatible firmware)? Just wondering...

Also, you forgot some flashcarts that are compatible with NTRBoot, like the R4 Gold Pro (which I used).

I have a N3DS XL that I hard modded some time in July following the guide. System version 11.4.0-37u. I want to give it to my sister but want to make sure that:

1) everything is up-to-date system-wise and
2) she can play Pokemon ultra something that she wants to play.

So for the first one, am I good to just system update the regular way? And do I need to do something cool to get that game to show up in freeshop because it's not showing up for me.

Edit: Awww, fuuu. Now I feel like a knob. I didn't see the Is it safe to update? thing in the first post... was looking at this thread on my phone. Now that I'm on a laptop, I'll do some more reading.

Yes but why would you when you can use Rosalina to access homebrew?

Because I like experimenting with stuff. Next, will a nand backup from a 3DS with cfw still install with that same 3ds that got cfw uninstalled and reinstalled?

Don't understand the question
If you're on 11.3 or less you can access GodMode9 through homebrew (with safehax etc) to restore a NAND backup that has CFW installed (if that's what you meant).

sorry if i repeated my question, but i forgot how to use the R4i DS menu
i want to :
1- make save stats.
2- open cheat menu and activate and deactivate certain cheats.
3- exit the game and use other game without exiting to 3DS menu.

the card i am using is R4i-b9s
i am using R4i-3DS V1.84b files

Afternoon all. I bought a sky 3DS card and a 64GB micro SD card for my 3DS. (I haven't updated my 3DS before anyone asks.) I have been trying to get roms onto my card all morning without any luck,I have been using the disk writter thing to copy games onto but when I put the sky 3DS card into my 3DS and press the blue button it just does nothing,no flashing and the 3DS just says there is nothing on the card. I hope someone can help me with this as it's driving me mad! Thanks.

If you haven't updated your 3DS to the newest FW, there is no reason to buy a Sky 3DS since with CFW (which is completely free <=11.3) you can install games obtained illegitimately (piracy, dumped from cart, etc.) to the home menu.

You should do everything you can to get the card returned and install cfw following https://3ds.guide instead
