B-But, woominstallerAnd of course Team Salt never released a thing. I bet it's because Mocha is way better and they are embarrassed that they've had a whole team working on stuff for six months or a year and they weren't able to produce something better than 1 guy in a month or so.
Nah, team salt could potentially have a better coldboot method or have cracked something very significant. Keep in mind we still dont have boot1.lol people still are looking for team salt stuff? Fix94 onboot sigpathes and region patchs with cbhc and every cfw out there what could they bring that can even remotely be better than onboot cfw sigpatches? nothing, we can install stuff to sysnand and everything, we are basicaly on wii level hacking, preety sure anything they had is now pointless and outdated.

Yep and there's a reason. Pretty nothing to do,they found a bug yeah but they said they didn't exploit it. At least, there's nothing to attack...Nah, team salt could potentially have a better coldboot method or have cracked something very significant. Keep in mind we still dont have boot1.
Actually we exclusively talk about the wiiu here,I respect there work on 3ds.They released SaltySD for 3DS
I'm talking about what they've been promising for Wii U for a long time. They released SaltySD for 3DS
They didn't have "a whole team." Interest in the IOSU project declined quickly after wiiubru released exploits. ShinyQuagsire was basically the only one working on it by the end.And of course Team Salt never released a thing. By the end? So development is officially finished? If they had opened it all up they could have had lots of people working on it :-/They didn't have "a whole team." If they opened it all up there would be broken forks everywhere. Also, woomïnstaller was like half of the project.By the end? So development is officially finished? If they had opened it all up they could have had lots of people working on it :-/
If they have all given up on it, it would be nice if
a) they told everyone so that their remaining loyal fans don't keep waiting
b) released what they have so far so that original parts that could be useful to others can be taken and incorporated into live projects (hope they won't be all dog-in-the-manger about it)

And yet all the current Wii U projects are open and being improved at lightning speed with no "broken forks".If they opened it all up there would be broken forks everywhere. Also, woomïnstaller was like half of the project.

When something works, it's popular, and when it doesn't, it's not. So no use worrying about what happens if people make broken stuff. If they do, people just won't use it or talk about it.

In the 3DS scene, Luma makes up like 90% of what people are using, because it works well. Few people use Corbenik or any others because Luma does what they need. The ones that do, use it because they use the features it has that Luma lacks. All the random ones that are either just copies of a then current CFW or don't work, have faded into obscurity and people don't use them. The 3DS scene is actually a great example of why things should be open for healthy scene development :-)It'd be nice if it stayed that way, but somehow i fully expect the CFW scene here to take a turn for the 3DS scene's (at least back when there were at least a solid billion forks and very minimal changes being released as "new CFW".) But hey don't get me wrong, if i'm incorrect and that never happens i'll be happy.
also this ^.
From what i've heard the others kinda just stopped working on CFW/Kernel for one reason or another and ShinyQuagsire just kept working on woomy because he had already invested a good amount of time into it and there was no reason to waste it
No one banned for now...Hi I hacked my 3DS awhile back but just heard now you can hack the wii U. I saw some guides on the front page but i'm not sure which and where to start? do I need any specific/special games to do this? also my firmware is on 5.5.1 U. Can I still hack it? also have people been banned on wii U for playing backups yet? any help be appreciated thanks..

Yes you can hack it. One NDS virtual console is needed if you want to launch the hack permanently from home menu but it is optionnal.
Yep it is.It's explain how to install game but only one who have a legit ticket dl'ed from that key site. You can use FunKiiU for other.https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki Is this a good one to use/start with? will it tell me how to get backups working to or do I need a different guide for that?
