I'm sure a large handful of people already know about this, but I thought it'd be a good idea to make this thread for those who don't commonly visit @dimok's GitHub.

SEEPROM2SD does exactly what it sounds like. It dumps a copy of your SEEPROM to the root of your SD card in a file named "seeprom.bin".

This application can be very useful for some people, as this BIN contains stuff such as your Wii U's drive key, devkit key, and your current USB key seed, as well as much more. Refer to http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/Hardware/SEEPROM for the full list.

Sources:
https://github.com/dimok789/seeprom2sd

Usage:
Run the seeprom2sd ELF using Homebrew Launcher. After a little bit, you should be back on the Wii U Menu. It is now safe to eject the SD card, and if everything worked correctly, a seeprom.bin will be waiting for you on the SD card. The file should be exactly 512 bytes.

I've attached a ZIP below with a meta.xml and icon.png to go with application.

How big is the seeprom.bin file once it's dumped?
It should be 512 bytes when dumped. I'll append that to the OP post.

Is this another one of those tools that doesnt have any end user purpose, or will we be able to use the SEEPROM for something?
It's more of a developer tool. Eventually, it might be possible to re-inject the SEEPROM BIN, which could lead to stuff such as sharing USB devices between Wii Us, but it's much more likely someone will develop a better way of doing that before then.

Actually if you want to inject your USB key or even the complete file, I know how to do it and could write up something that does that but I myself don't want to test it without having the chip wired up. Since my Wii U is only 1 year old I still don't want to open it up and void the warrenty in case I brick it :). If someone has that atmel eeprom chip wired up and could run a short test, we can verify it working. (Actually maybe I am quite a good guinea pig since I still have warrenty :P.)

How big is the file(s) that FT2SD dumps?
And do you (by any chance) know how big the dumped files are for crediar's FSDumper too?
I feel like I might need a bigger SD card. xD

I am not sure what file you are talking about from FT2SD. If you mean mlc/slc file tree dump, that would be aroudn 6.5 to 7 gb. It depends what you have on your mlc installed and can be more. I dont know how big they are from crediar's dumper but they should be the same.

Ok guys. I just played the guinea pig as said above since I needed my old USB key too on my eeprom. It was a total success! The write process was a success and my USB drive is recognized again by the Wii U and I can access all data / games and the most important my save games on it ;). So expect an USB key injector some time soon.

So basically you got the SEEPROM from your old Wii U, put it into another one and you can now use the USB you used for the old Wii U in the new one? :O

Exactly. Except I didn't replace the whole EEPROM (I could do that too but I didnt need to). I just replaced the USB key part with an older seeprom dump key I still had.
