That's true for HBL apps though, just not home menu apps, you might confuse him further unless you make the distinction clear, lol.

Cia files on your sd card are just Cia installers the actuall app is inside your system and can only be uninstalled using a app installer IE FBI, Devmenu, SOON2 etc.

Whenever you wanna update a scene program on your 3DS, you must use an app installer to delete the old program and install the new CIA version of the program.

Ala FBI 2.2.1 etc.

In this case you must install the NEW VERSION of the FBI before deleing the old version cause you what you wanna install requires you have itself already installed.

He would only delete it after he installs the new FBI 2x. Why would you delete something you need to use to install the new version if you haven't installed the new version?

It shouldn't be necessary to uninstall the old version first, unless the title ID changed (then you would end up with both versions installed), but that should rarely happen.

Do you also have a Health and Safety app separately? If so, then you have two copies of FBI installed and you need to delete ONE of them. If you don't have a separate Health and Safety app, then one of the FBIs is your injected FBI and the other is the installed CIA version. In this case, you can just ignore the H&S version and use the updated installed CIA version.

No. A9LH boots at nearly if not exactly the same speed as stock.

Just did an apples to apples comparison with an a9lh 2ds (luma 5.5) and a stock 2ds and the stock 2ds is a fraction of a second faster.
It's a meaningless difference.
