So I tried on N3DSU 10.3 to 9.2U and I boot up to a black screen which I'm thinking is a software lock as its not bricked. Hence it doesn't show the boot rom error. I tried doing it without the sd card (to avoid themehax) still to no avail. Recovery also won't work. Please help
Hum....... rip n3ds :/

I still think all those black screens have in common the menuhax somehow.
Not sure techincally, but the theme must be stucking the boot, even without SD card.
I recommend to got all common persons that had this weird black screen, and find out if everyone was using menuhax, and what was the trigger condition, button combination, or was automatic at boot.

It does not looks like bricks.

They don't. I think they are software bricks. I want to fix this ;( I think I'm the only one who bricked it though

dg works,
here's my setup
currently in o3ds 9.2u, updated to 10.3u
9.2 (full) on sd
starter zip on sd
rxtools on sd
used browserhax to get hb
launched sysupdater (but kept failing, even with 3ds-ftp)
used browserhax to get hb again
installed themehax (config 2)
themehax / menuhax loads on freshboot,
launched 3ds-ftp,
opened sysupdater
checked version, i'm now on 9.2u again
reinstalled emunand, (slotkey etc etc)
profit!

I did think about the problem being menuhax, after all, that is what is loaded on boot, and the payloads would be wrong after the downgrade. However, I still do not understand what my error was. I will wait for now.

I am such a newbie, and so interested in this on my 3ds xl. As far as I understood it cannot be done to the one that I have but there is a thing that I couldnt get.

How do you do this? Can someone make a tutorial step by step and as simple as it can be that even a fool can pull it off? Please?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
