I unfortunately have an O3DS XL with 10.1.27 and all of the following blocked: Browserhax, Tubehax, and Ironhax 1.1.
However, I have OOT3D and another O3DS XL with 9.9 and Ironhax 1.0 which is still functional. Is it possible to use the working hacked 3DS to install oot3Dhax, and then use the cartridge to update the hax on the 10.1.27 3DS, either by updating the Ironfall payload or installing themehax?
Here's what I tried myself: I used save_manager to write the save00 file to my cart, but I couldn't do it with payload.bin in the same folder. I tried using the most updated oothax installer made specifically for 10.1, but it gives me an FFFFFE error and can't download the payload. If any of this is possible, what are the proper steps? Thanks!
oot3dhax doesn't seem to work right on O3DS 10.1

All isn't lost however. There are a couple of sources for 2.1 Payloads floating around, and there's an offline installer for OoTHax. This offline installer requires there be a file called payload.bin inside the OoTHax Installer's folder.
The offline installer is here: https://gbatemp.net/attachments/oot3dhax_installer_offline-zip.28171/
An offline Themehax Installer just so happens to contain all the otherapp payloads for 2.1; This is great because you can just pick the one you need and move that into the OoTHax folder. That installer is here:

Depending on your Region, there are three possible payloads for 10.1.27.
Once you've found the right payload file, move it into the OoTHax folder and rename it to payload.bin. Run OoTHax on your haxed 3DS and your cart should then be ready for 10.1 exploitation.
- For European O3DS, you're after POST5_E_20480_9221.bin.
- For American O3DS, you're after POST5_U_21504_usa_9221.bin.
- For Japanese O3DS, you're after POST5_J_20480_9221.bin
So, to summarize:
- Copy Offline OoTHax installer to 3ds folder in the v9.9 console's SD card.
- Copy required payload from Offline Themehaxinstaller (in the otherapp folder) to OoTHax's folder
- Rename the copied file to payload.bin
- Insert Ocarina of Time cartridge into 9.9 Console.
- Launch Ocarina of Time. Hold ABXY and erase all save data.
- Exit to Home Menu, Launch IronHax
- Launch OoTHax Installer.
- Use the settings you would for your 10.1 3DS e.g. OLD 10.1.0.27 E/U/J
- Installation should be successful! Your cart is now ready for exploiting your 10.1 3DS
Did you do this process with 2.5 payloads or 2.1?That worked according to the instructions you gave me
I used a payload that used for manually update my themehax to 2.5, I just copy pasted it from the root of sd card and renamed it payload.binThat worked according to the instructions you gave me
I used a payload that used for manually update my themehax to 2.5, I just copy pasted it from the root of sd card and renamed it payload.bin
Then I attempted to install the hax, it said something went wrong.
But, I went back to the OoT and that glitched savefile is there, then I attempt the exploit, but "an error has occured" screen came up.
I guess something wrong with my payload? I've wiped all the OoT save data first though.
Ok, I' m new 3DS US, and 10.1I don't believe it's an issue with the payload as such; Some 3DS's just aren't liking OoTHax with 2.5. The exact same procedures have been followed by many people, and results vary wildly.
Perhaps it might be an idea to start correlating Firmware versions and regions to see if there's a pattern or something, Iunno.

further back in this thread there is a payload for 2.1 which works on 10.2 you just need to get the payload but there is quite a few in there and I'm not sure which one I needI presume that OoT3Dhax hasn't had an update for 10.2? I'm looking to set up homebrew for a friend of mine on 10.2 and I have a spare copy of OoT I can give to him, but it seems that 10.2 doesn't have an OoT3Dhax version yet.

Take the 20480 for your region if you are on 10.2.further back in this thread there is a payload for 2.1 which works on 10.2 you just need to get the payload but there is quite a few in there and I'm not sure which one I need

Sorry if this is old news or twitter links aren't allowed, but apparently oot3dhax has been patched although not guaranteed to work yet..? Not sure what the server side thing means...
It means that person modified the oot3dhax installer so it would successfully pull the 2.5 payloads from smea's server.
It should be the same as if you tried using the offline installer right now but with the 2.5 payloads. If it didn't work for you with the offline installer, highly unlikely it'll work with that new installer.
