Hacking Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

I have played PoR for a bit and have encountered no freezes. I have a microSD Sandisk Ultra II 1 gigabyte with the 1.06 firmware. I am just curious what points in the game its supposed to freeze.

For me, it freezes usually when you press start. (using 512mb Kingston Taiwan).

froze on my m3, sandisk 2 ultra 1gb, when i opened soem tomb on teh first level after charlotte gets powered up with a flame thrower type book skill.

for me also randomly when pressing start (1gb pny microsd)

and they encountered also random crashes during testing with the original game!!

I only got one freeze my whole time playing through to 1000 and that was on a warp.

Here's a quick excerpt from that thread of what I found.

Deduce said:
1.) Accessing the Start Menu - Probably the most frequent freeze I experienced. Trying to go to the start menu to get that nice potion during a boss fight only to have the game freeze was the worst.

2.) Warps - Didn't happen as often, but happened enough times that I remembered it. Became more of a problem later on when I had access to many warp locations.

3.) Quest glitch - That quest glitch (after completing a mission, press start before the accomplishment tune fades away to keep getting the same rewards over and over again) is a great way to get cash in the game, but if I talked to Wind before the castle background music starts the game would freeze. As long as the background music was playing again the game wouldn't freeze.

4.) Jumping in empty rooms - Can't explain it, but it happens. Screen doesn't black out just Johnathan striking a pose.

Best test to see if you'll run into freezes is to repeatedly press start for a bit to see if the game locks up.

Supposedly, if you press start repeatedly in a warp room, it'll crash more. I can't verify this, because I have a Kingston JP that doesn't crash it, but that's the word on the street.
