oh it's going to happen again their so predictable all the signs are happening again when it happened with the cube.
Except, you know, that we don't know the first thing about the NX. And that the Wii wasn't released until the year following its E3 reveal (which would put the NX on schedule for release in 2017 which does not fit your little narrative).

nx will be out xmas 2016 you watch. they've already abandoned the wiiu i don't believe a bs word of iwata saying they will continue to support it. only way that will happen if the nx can play wiiu games.

Maybe it will, but the trends don't point to it coming out holiday 2016 so you really have nothing to support that. And the Wii U is most certainly not abandoned considering it still has a bunch of games on the way including Super Mario Maker, Star Fox Zero, Yoshi's Wooley World, SMT x FE, Devil's Third, Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water, Xenoblade Chronicles: X, and Zelda. They didn't announce MORE games when they already have a big lineup on the way? Boo freaking hoo!

i'll be back in here in a year with my i told you so gif
Cool, but note how I never said that the game can't be cross-console. I'm just sick and tired of all the smugness on this site of people pretending they know everything. News flash, you don't know everything, and even if this happens to come true, you still don't know everything.

Yep I agree with you grossaffe, the wiiu is dead. There is no way in hell nintendo will continue to "support" the wii u after it has been superseded when they give terrible support right now.

I honestly don't see how nintendo can itself around in a year (or 2-3 years) and have the infrastructure and services that Sony or Microsoft have. The wii u has a slightly more advanced online system than the original xbox. So it's only 13yrs behind the competition.

Nintendo has openly said that Sony and Microsoft are not its completion. That is true. Nintendo's competition is now the Fisher & Price TV games you see in toy stores.

How about not speaking definitely on a subject you have zero knowledge of.
It's my guess.
twilight princess says hi :creep:
Exactly.
If the NX gets delayed, queue the Zelda Wii U delay.

That is the date they are likely aiming for.

Smoke and mirrors.
only way that will happen if the nx can play wiiu games.
which the NX wont.

With the utter failure of the WiiU and the 3DS looking really old .... the future of Nintendo making money going forward is in *REAL* jeopardy.
If the NX is a failure, I think Nintendo will be a takeover target for Microsoft or Sony.
Will the NX be a success ? After the release of the WiiU ... I'm not sure I would bet on it.

Ever since the Wii the home Nintendo consoles have offered backwards compatibility so hopefully it'll do feature it as a lot of people have decided to ditch the Wii U, and if those said people are to try the Wii U games are via BC on N's next home console.

After the disaster of the WiiU it is time to move to a fresh path without any burdens of the past.

It would be a very bad move to look backwards for Nintendo.

The NX has to be a success in terms of sales (ie. number of units moved). Otherwise this is Nintendo's last home console. Shareholders are not going to allow a third home console attempt after 2 failures. Things are desperate in terms of shareholder happiness.

Nintendo will not look back.

I'll predict WiiU games will not be compatible with the NX.

It's more than likely he is right. Nintendo has done it before, they will do it again. I'll eat crow if this doesn't turn out as predicted.
They've done it a grand total of one time because they were interested in what the Wii controls could bring to the game. Most every other console Zelda game has been delayed, but only Twilight Princess saw a dual-release.

Before this gets further along than it should, why do you think they wouldn't pull this in light of their anemic display of software for the wiiu ?

Because they blew their announcement load on the Wii U last year. There's a large number of Wii U games scheduled for release this year and into next year. Frankly, expecting to see a bunch of new announcements after the huge E3 they had last year is only setting oneself up for disappointment. Add in that the NX hasn't even been revealed yet, there's nothing to really base these claims on. At least with Twilight Princess was delayed to add in Wiimote support, the Wii had already been revealed with its revolutionary motion controls. The NX, however, is merely a codename for something that could be a handheld for all we know, and may not release until holiday 2017.

I don't really expect much from a company that has a primitive online service and doesn't even offer the option to have voice chat on all games (no party chat either).

The System Settings on Wii U take like 10-15 secs and opening Miiverse is about 30secs or whatever, it takes way too damn long!

You see why I have low expectations regarding Nintendo.

Their may be 2 different versions. It would be smart for Nintendo to launch the new zelda on the nx and the wii u. They did it with twilight princess. You know the new zelda would make people buy a NX. All they have to to do is launch on nx first then in a few months launch zelda on Wii U.
I can easily seem them doing this. Perhaps its the reason there was no metroid to be seen for wii U. There was nothing major announced at e3. I think thats because its all being made for the NX. Its the only thing that makes sense. I bet its also why no zelda was shown at e3. So Zelda On NX at e3 next year is my Bet.

at least with the GC nintendo was able to deliver one full zelda title while the system was still relatively a ways away from the end of it's life cycle
with the WII they couldn't even deliver one till it was pretty much already dead
now with WII U if they can't even deliver one zelda game, one game from one of their biggest franchises for their current HW gen before it is dead then this signals the demise of nintendo, and total failure

this would be worse than that the TP fiasco with the GC and wii ,GC already had one zelda title, and wii got one eventually and it already had the port of TP ,
NES 2 main zelda titles
SNES 1 main zelda title
N64 2 main zelda titles
GC 2 main zelda titles
WII 1 main zelda title
WII U 0 main zelda titles?
