Just in case anyone is interested on using the breakpoint capabilities:

From speedfly website, I could see a tutorial for NTR CFW 2.2+ where it allows the users to have write/read breakpoints. If a beta tester is needed, I would like to participate, otherwise I would like to try it when it is available or released to find the checksum algorithm for ACNL game. This type of breakpoint would help understanding the game mechanics better. Looking forward to that.

Cheers.

The current version is 2.2 and the bpadd, bpdis and bpena commands exist in the debugger. The functionality should exist in the current release.

I know current version 2.2 has bpadd (to add code breakpoint), bpdis (to disable code breakpoint), and bpena (to enable code breakpoint). However, the next version 2.2+ will have wpadd, wpdis, wpena, as well as wpdel (all these are for write/read breakpoint). Furthermore, it would be great if in the future, something like geckodotNet tool for Wii could be implemented for 3DS.

Cheers.

I believe ntr 2.2 doesn't support gateway or emunand, only sky3ds or pasta + cia

That's not actually the issue that halts its use. Gateway runs under a 9.5/9.7 FIRM, which naturally are not susceptible to the hacks in use.

you are saying it would work for gatways running on 8.1 or 9.2? that doesnt seems like the case

I'm saying the opposite: Irrelevant of the system files used, it's running under a 9.5/9.7 FIRM, that's how Xenoblade/Codename STEAM/P&D run on older versions.

Quick question: When you're in 3d and use the screenshot feature, does it still save only one of the two pics that make up the 3d anaglyph effect (hope that was clear) of the top screen like version 1.0? If so, would it be hard/impossible to make it save the whole framebuffer (ie: both pics by sides) so that people can make 3d screenshots from them?
Nobody knows? Or was my question not clear enough?

@cell9 When i take a screen shot in the Homebrew Channel, i can see it in my SD Card.

It's like if the screen was not created.

It's great that there's something so promising for N3DS! I have a few questions about this cfw though:

1. Does this cfw automatically block firmware update prompts from game cartridges, and the like?
2. Does anyone know if there are plans to make this cfw work in emunand mode? While it's awesome that this cfw has region free support, it would be really limiting not being able to play games that need higher firmware like Xenoblade Chronicles, and the upcoming Fire Emblem If.
3. Can this be uninstalled/reinstalled without affecting the N3ds sysnand?

  1. I would believe so, I once tried Xenoblade in it and rather than an update prompt it just attempted to launch. (Not that it worked...)
  2. I doubt it, since it doesn't even touch SysNAND to begin with.
  3. See above, all it touches is a .bin file on the MicroSD and a Cubic Ninja save that launches stuff from said .bin file. That's not to say what it does isn't sweet, just that it's not a NAND modification at all unless you do something yourself (see the thread where this was used to update 8.1 to 9.2, as well as when it was used to get US titles for region swapping)
