Nope. I have formatted my sysnand 9.2 at least three times with no update. I keep leaving it in sysnad and letting it sleep.

Find where you heard that and we can discuss it with them.

Hello Boys,

i want a new 3ds but read it isnt supported by Gateway so far. The Sysnand should be 9.0 on the retail (EU) to have the ability of using my gateway 3ds card, right? Or should i buy an old one to be able to play? I just bought the Gateway Card to play someday....the day is today.....my fingers are itching.....it´s release day of the NEW 3DS.....any suggestions?

Unfortunately for you, Gateway is not yet compatible with the New 3DS. It will come 'soon', or, that's what Gateway says. In their view, 'soon' could mean April, May, June, or even later. If you want to play right now, you have two options: buy a 3DS XL with Gateway, or a N3DS with Sky3ds. Depends on how much patience you have, really.

My 3ds with 4.4 cfw and I have a lot of .3ds games and when I convert them to .cia and transfer them to my cfw 3ds they are not working .. the icon of the game appear but the game itself not working .. what is the best way to convert from .3ds to .cia .. and if there is any specific setting please tell me.
ps. I don't have any flashcard like Ds flashcard or GW flashcard.

Thanks for the quick answer - i have like zero patience.....If i buy a 3DSXL what would be the firmware on it? I Just wanna make sure i buy no crap. Is it possible that i will get a 3DSXL with 9.4 on it?

sure,if the 3DS with no update nag , it can be formatted without asking you to update

i am now thinking to update to emunand 9.5
when i go to gateway mode , and go to system sittings , i see i am on GW 9.4 U
so i can go to update from inside the sittings and update manually without formatting my emunand ?

You're welcome. If you have zero patience, but prefer a Gateway over Sky3ds, the best option would indeed be to buy a 3DS XL (or an original 3DS or 2DS). I cannot tell you what formware will be on it, because it differs. Since 9.4 is quite recent (as is 9.5), and most 3DS XLs tend to be in the store for a while, there is a big chance your 3DS XL will be 9.2 or below (you need 9.2 or below for Gateway to work). For example, I bought one in November, and my firmware was 8.1. To be 100% sure you could buy a second hand one and ask the owner, or take a (little) risk and buy a one in a store. The chance that is comes woth 9.3 or higher is very small, but as I said, I cannot 100% guarantee it.

If you really can't wait, you could also buy a Sky3ds. The card has limited options compared to Gateway, but does work on N3DS, and even on firmwares 9.3, 9.4 and 9.5. If you do that, it doesn't really matter what kind of 3DS you buy, or what kind of firmware you have - it would work anyway. But that choice is up to you, of course.

So I read in a forum outside of GBAtemp that CIAs will always work online without getting banned, presumably because they don't have to mess with headers and all. Is this true?

Hi,
I have 2 questions about system transfer on New3D.
I used to have 2 3DS XL before getting my New3DS.
Each 3DSXL had a NNID. One was up to date with offical NNID. The other one was a 4.5 with emunand and a second NNID.

First I did a sysnand to emunand transfer, overwritng my second NNID with the official one. After this I sold the first 3DS.
A few days later, I got my New3DS and I did an emunand 9.5 to New 3DS systransfer. All went fine. But now :

1/ I lost the included video (paper plane) and french eshop won't allow me to redownload it. Any way to recover ?
2/ I tried to link my second NNID (the one overwritten in first transfer) to the standard 3DSXL but I got the message saying NNID is alread linked to another console (but it was linked to THIS console). Is this NNID lost forever ?

Just for my internal understanding, why is Gateway not work on New 3DS if it has < 9.3 isn't it exact the same Software? Shouldn't just a few path changes for the MicroSD? (Sorry for this easy thinking)

Heyho. I just bought a New 3DS from Store today. It was 9.0.0 on it. I also bought MH4 Ultimate - can i play online and still stay on 9.0.0. for future Gateway usage?

You can stay at 4.x but should upgrade emunand in system settings. 9.5 is really your only choice. Gateway (Sony) has a manual in the downloads section of their site now. Get the latest launcher 3.0.4

Online is tricky right now so the safest is to play from your carts. Read up on the dangers here before you dump your games and play from rom, nobody is sure how N is going about banning.

Yes blue cart is for DS games on 4.x sysnand or you can use r4 or DStwo on higher FW. Red card does not play cia they are installed to the internal SD. Red card is need to boot gateway mode to play an installed cia but then is not required. Red card is for 3ds and 3dz.

Alright! So I might downgrade my 3DS. Do I look in the 3DS or NDS section for a tutorial on playing NDS games on 4.x?

Would it matter if a EUR game creates EUR game data, but if I want to use the US version later of the same game which creates US game data? How do I delete game data of a EUR game?

Is there a way to get free dlc, when you have a Fire emblem 3ds rom (USA) version, and gateway ultra 3.04? Ive heard about how CIA files somehow give you free dlc content or whatever... Can someone elaborate on anything free related?

Did the USA version of monster hunter 4 ultimate come out yet?
Also, in order to play online, since I live in the USA, I have to get the USA rom version right?
Or has that changed due to some awesome new hack or development or discovery

Yes, the US ROM is out. Just look for it with Google.

As for playing online, MH4U actually has cross-region play, so you don't have to worry about matching up.

I downgraded my ds from 8.1 something to 4.x but before I did it I install Emunand and backup my sysnand. Do I have do these two step again now that I am on 4.x? Also
