hoping that the public header that we have won't get us smacked.

i am looking into dumping a header from one of my retail games and injecting into my roms, just need to lurk and search for that procedure though.

Guys what is your favorite gateway exploit, 4.5 or 9.2? I'm on 9.2 at the moment, but I'm wondering to downgrade or not. I play always at home so I always have a wifi connection. 9.2 exploit seems better to me, it's faster but what if gateway site is down or have problems? Or if they close the site in the future? Yeah I can always downgrade but I will lose all my game saves :-/

need help .. is there a way to format or downgrade my nintendo 3ds LL with 4 pin parental code ? ive already called and emailed nintendo japan but they wont help me getting the master code for my pin locked 3ds its currently running in 7.1.0 fw .. tia

It is not an easy decision. Most of my existing retail carts used 6.x encryption so if I downgraded to 4.x the saves would be lost. So I am sticking with 9.2.

As a parent myself I cannot help you with that. Speak to your parents about your concerns.

Most of the time no, but it is game specific and firmware specific. Consult the emunand/save data mega guide at the top of this sub.

The old DS profile exploit works on 4.x so you are good. You should update your launcher.dat to latest so you have current emunand support.

That is an area I have not looked at becuase my mSD is exFAT, so I can't help you there. You can always try it and we what happens, I suppose. My hunch is to rename it .3dz before you split it.

On another note going online right now is really rolling the dice even with a private header.

There have been no reports of this. Your plan is a good idea and what I would do if there was a game I really wanted to play online. At a later date when we know more you may be able to dump your cartride and then not have to carry it around with you.

There has been no jap N3ds reported to come with anything higher than 9.1. If you're still a little cautious, buy from Nippon yasan (sp?) I see they sent out a lot of 8.1 consoles and they have competitive prices
