Hey guys, I have a question about my Gateway.
When I press select in the Home Menu to select the MultiRom menu, sometimes it load normally the roms and sometimes not, saying "Microsd card not ready" (even when I wait for a while)
When the roms loads normally and I select them, it shows a load bar but the game doesn't actually appears in the home menu and thus, I can't play it, like if I had closed the Multirom Menu without choosing anything at all. When I press select to try again, it says the same message as before, "Microsd card not ready".

Sometimes the game loads properly, but its a 20% chance to happen.

My Emunand is updated and I'm using the 3.0.3 Gateway version. I have tried 3 sd cards, so I can't blame the one I'm using now.

Someone can help?
Hmm, try this:

format your SD to whichever format you are using, pretty sure FAT32.

Then move the games to your mSD in order from the largest to the smallest.

If this doesn't work, try a different cluster size when you format. preferably something larger.

Let me know how it works.
BTW, what kind of mSD are you using? brand? class? size? format?

Are these games personally ripped via gw menu? or downloaded?
Sorry, last question. If I already have all of my stuff from my sysnand on my emunand will anything bad happen by unlinking?
Well, they won't be available on sysNAND anymore. And don't be sorry for asking questions ;) as long as you have done at least a google search, I will be happy to help you :)
yes I tried , for example, Eur smash brothers4 have Portuguese language, but even with my menu in Portuguese (US console) it will boot in English (I didnt tried with Spanish and French yet to see if happens the same ).
And also, as example, I want to play star fox 64 3D in Italian, that aren't available on a US console ?
I wonder if there's something like the " gecko loader" or even the options of some USb loaders have, that you choose the langauge you want to make the game boot, if it's on the rom, of course xD
I'm currently trying with french on my games. I've tried both FE and PES, but both have loaded up in English. Will try later as well.

Note: these are both legit games. I don't remember if french was advertised on the cover art or not :/

Tried to load Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 and Fire Emblem Awakening. Both legit games bought in Canada... I'll try Smash when I get home today.

oh you are trying just by switching the menu language?
Smash is pretty sure will work, because I tested myself (and tried to prank some friend changing his WiiU menu to Spanish because the narrator changes xD but I didin't know how to OTL) , but even the demo change according the menu xD

The only problem I've been running into with my Gateway so far is that saves sometimes don't.... save. For example, Im playing Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies and the last three times I saved the game and then my 3DS died or whatever, the save was just gone and I had to start the case from the beginning. I'm not sure why this is happening now as it wasn't happening before. Any ideas?

on the guide I followed to use my gateway told that for the game save you need to press HOME and then close the aplication, give a try

From what I have read the 3DS does not auto save directly to a cart (or Sd card in this case), but to memory. It only writes it when you exit an application. So if you switch carts, loose power or crash it is gone. Seems like a real studip design on the surface but I am sure there is some reason for this.

Is there a good Canadian seller of Gateway cards? I saw one called GoCyberShopping; not sure if their cards are any good though...
I want to buy one from a Canadian seller so it doesn't get seized at customs.

I tried that before, but still not work. And about the microsd, I already said a few posts ago.

Oh, sorry. Yea, I tested 3 Micro SD.

One is a Kingstom SDHC 16GB class 4, the other is a Sandisk Ultra 16GB class 10, and the last is a Sandisk 2GB (the last one was used only for test).

Modchipcentral is Canadian. There are threads here from people that praise them. I am not a customer but would never be given what are in my opinion very dodgy business practices. Read their return policies very carefully and make up your own mind.

I tried that before, but still not work. And about the microsd, I already said a few posts ago.

You are not getting much other help here. I suggest a post in the main thread outlining the steps you have taken. Provide as much detail as possible.

Sorry for the questions. I have tried to read but I am a noob at this.

I have a 4.3 firmware Japan-version 3DS, and I want to play NA game cards/backup files.

Is it correct that I can use a cheap DS flash card and then install the DS profile exploit?
If so, can anyone recommend a brand of card to look for? (I understand some have been blocked?)
Can anyone provide a link with detailed info on how to install the DS profile exploit?

Thanks!

hmm I'm new with this too but what I can say to you is to use gateway ... it already come with an DS flashcard for the exploit, and you will be able to play the backup and retail NA games
there could be another ways but this is the one I know

So I'm finally close to buying a Gateway, but I just want to make sure of something.

Has anyone ever bought from this place? I want to verify so I know it's trustworthy, I hear MrMario2011 bought from there, but I want to make sure if anyone else has to confirm.

Not sure if this is answered anywhere, but I seem to be having some problems here. I'm currently on FW 9.0.0-20U if that matters.

So I went to Gateway's website on my 3DS to launch the exploit for the first time, and it worked. After I backed up my nand, I went into Gateway mode to update the cart's firmware. After it updated, I restarted and pressed Select. Sure enough, the game I had in my microSD card showed up. After powering off my 3DS so that I can take my SD card out and copy my Nand over to my PC, I put my SD card back into my 3DS and ran the exploit again. However, this time the exploit just hangs when I try to visit the website; the bottom screen is stuck in a scrambled state. I rebooted my 3DS to try and launch the exploit again, and it's the same thing. I tried deleting my browser's history and cookies, but the same result still happens when I try to launch the exploit from the site. The next step I did was replacing the launcher.dat in my 3DS' SD card just in case that was the problem, but it still hangs with a scrambled bottom screen when I visit the Gateway exploit website.

Anyone know how I can fix this? I've tried waiting 10 minutes, but it's just stuck there and I have to hard power it off in order to reboot it.

1. Double check your firmware. That is what would happen to a 9.4 console trying to run the exploit.

2. Try accessing the go.gateway-3ds.com website without the gw cart inserted.

3. Try formating the sd card so that it is one partition then loading the exploit once again.

Try go.scmods.com as well

First thing I did was double checking my firmware, and sure enough it still says 9.0 on the bottom right corner of the top screen. Will post again/edit this post after performing the bottom 2 steps.

EDIT: Turns out I had to run the exploit without the card in it, thanks! It's weird because it worked fine with the cart inside earlier, so it didn't cross my mind to try it.
