I dont know about those idiots but the first thing I do is look at the serial number to see if boot1 is vulnerable to install bootmii in boot2, and if the dvd drive plays burnt discs. A korean wii would pop right out in the open unless some dick changes s/n stickers. In that case I would get my money back.
Bricking is for darwin's athletes. The only valid bricks in my eyes are the ones developers get when they do somehting intentionally that they know has a strong chance of bricking your wii, for the further understanding and development of their software. But banner bricks that happened because noone cared to check if it was created correctly, or updating a region changed wii? Its the equivalent to a mouse walking onto a mousetrap. Every application out there that has even 0.01% risk of the most stupid idiots to brick, have strong and very clear warnings about it. So instead of chalking it up to be the fault of one application or another, chalk it up to the dude who bricked most of the time is just a jackass who is in too much of a hurry to read their tv screen.
OFC I know this will result in an attempt to start a flame war from JoostinOffline, but i will not respond to this post after I have said my peice. He is banned from most wii channels on irc for a reason.
A little bit of knowledge for anyone who wonders why a developer will never let their applications take the blame, nor will they take the responsibility on their own shoulders for a brick, is not because there is no brick potential, its because you were fully warned before hand. If you feel a developer is letting your complaints fall on deaf ears or your issues are non existent, then their response should be heard not as "I am all knowing", but rather "You did something stupid, and you were warned, so stop bothering me".
BTW, If I had knew "B.L.I.N.D" was a copy of some other application that is still actively developed and supported, I wouldn't have helped with a damn thing on it. Any noob can change a title and add 2 lines to an existing application and expect credit for themselves. Thats not how you get any respect though.
now, lets see the inevitable one-sided flame war fall on closed ears, but make sure to bring the marshmellows.
