Sonic Generations is a unique sort of Sonic game with ambitions to mix the gameplay of classic Sonic from the Genesis era and modern Sonic from Unleashed and Colors. Simply put, you can play as literally both Sonics, the chubby and green-less eyes persona from the Genesis age, AND the new faster and voiced Sonic from the more recent Sonic series. This extends to the stages themselves as well, Generations will have stages based on the Genesis days. So far we've seen Green Hill Zone. Now we've got new clean footage showing gameplay from Chemical Plant (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2) and City Escape (from Sonic Adventure 2). Included are clips from both the classic sidescrolling Sonic stages as well as the 3D modern Sonic stages. Enjoy the new footage below! And keep an eye out for the final game, scheduled for November for PS3, Xbox 360, and 3DS. A PC port is also heavily rumored due to steam listing. The 3DS version will apparently not have these two new classic stages, but have its own exclusive classic stages (it's a different game entirely). [/p]

I know Sonic is over hyped, but so far, this game looks like solid gold.

Hearing Escape from the City music and seeing the gun truck brought back so many memories of my Dreamcast days.

I REALLY hope reviews are good and that Sega learned their lesson.

I only like the Chemical Plant music.

QUOTE(NahuelDS @ Aug 6 2011, 07:56 PM) SEGA.... what about Sonic 4: Part II???

This is a good question. What the hell happened with Sonic 4?

And I think I found out why I hate Sonic games as of late. The backgrounds stand out too much.

Looks great! It makes me want to pop in my Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and play it again. (who knows how many times I already have...)
Oh how I hope they add Metal Harbor... Nothing like going for speed runs on that level.

Wonder if they're gonna announce a date this century. Same for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 2, that one in partticular is taking far too long to make.

The game looks good. But... please, get rid of the freaking vocals in the music. That alone will make me ignore the game.

I can't cringe enough.

Didn't write it off, it may still be fun.

I do want to play this too, tho.

They can't take out the vocals in "Escape from the City", it would lose all of it's value, nostalgic or otherwise.

Escape from the city is pretty damn good for game music.
