Don't know if this is the proper place for this, but essentially I'm trying to play backups with a softmodded Wii. When I launch any of the games via NeoGamma, I get a 001 error. Before I launch, the program itself states that my cIOS is Rev 8 or something and hence causes the 001. I have not modded my Wii in ages so I am at a complete loss as to how I should fix this. Do I need to install something new?

EDIT: Fixed this, installed Rev 19. However, Reed Steel 2 still doesn't work as a disc backup. Any hints?

I want usbloader cfg to channel on mainmenu view (like video begin)

How?
Any risks?
Only risks are of a banner brick if you get a bad wad. Get the good wad from the official CFG USB Loader thread and install it using WAD Manager

USBLoaderCFG_NForwarder - *new* (by Narolez) ?
(Universal) Forwarder Channel: (by Narolez) ?

Hi there,

So I managed to softmod my wii, and install the CFG USB backuploader and it all works fine.

I have a few questions...

1) Right now to launch the USB backup loader, I have to go to the homebrew channel, then select USB backuploader.. is there
any way to give this its own channel?

2) My wii will not read dvd-r +r how am I able to play a backup of a gamecube game then?

Thanks

I have a wii no mods, nothing has happened to it. It has latest firmware and no anti-bricking software.

I want to use loadstructor to play game I rent After I've returned them, I am still not entierly sure what it does, here a few quick questions:

Do I have to downgrade my firmware to use loadstructor?

Do I have to install anti bricking software? (or take any other precautions)

What do I need? I have a wii and a cumputer, an empty SDcard and a empty/unused 100 gigabyte external harddrive.

Ok and one final question is this what loadstructor does?:

I put loadstructor on an SDcard, I put it in my wii, I then plug my external harddrive into the back of the wii. I put wii sports into my wii, I load loadstructor by going to my SDcard and selecting it, It saves the game to the external harddrive and makes a wii sports channel.

Thanks in advance!

goooood god not done anything with my wii for a eon but fancy getting back into it now I have a fancy new internet connection.

I have a wiikey that just booted old copied games straight from the menu.
What do I need to do to get it up to running things via a usb loader?

Quick question: my brother, who lives in another state, finally got a Wii. He's interested in softmodding for the sole purpose of me being able to bring my games with me whenever I travel to visit him. However, all of the guides I've read have stated that the first time the loader is run, it'll make you format the hard drive. Is there a way around this? I'd love to be able to bring my games with me, but I don't want to risk accidentally formatting the drive and having to re-rip my library again. Thanks for your help!

So I'm on a mac, and I have my game back ups in isos. What do I need to do in order to decrease their size? I heard that wii games are much smaller than their iso file really is.

And once I shrink the size of said games, what application should I download in order to run those games off my USB drive? And if you do tell me which app to get, what do I need to have installed in order for it to work? >.<

Thanks in advance to whoever can help me out!

Does Kirby Air Ride work with Gamecube Backup Launcher 0.2? I have tried it multiple times, but it never starts up. I have been able to play other games, just not Kirby Air Ride. Any help?

It does work, but not if you have waninkoko's cIOS IIRC.

Hi, every time I try to boot a game using neogamma or softchip, the game is recognized, but it just boots into a black screen. And this happens for at least four different games (except Fifa 08, it shows the warning screen but the wiimote doesn't connect). I'm using Verbatim DVD-R disks burned at 8x. I have tried with cIOS38r17 and cIOSXr19 but I get the same result. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Can I use Wii Speak simultaneously with a USB loader (preferably GX)?

The information out there is kind of confusing regarding this. Whether or not I'm supposed to use Waninkoko's ciosX rev 19 or Hermes's (Hermes'?) cios 223 or whatever, or depending on whether I installed ciosX rev 19 on IOS 37 or 36 or 38 or blah

I already ordered my Wii Speak, and I'd like to know if I'm going to have to use the discs or not.

hey, i have a new wii and i can't install bootmii as boot2.
i just got a new motherboard, and will install it soon, so i can play my gamecube backups.
is the 'chip' that stores the boot2 on the same motherboard?
so when i replace my d3-2 with the d2e board, will i also be able to install bootmii into boot2?
thank a lot!

and, is there a solution for playing gamecube backups through the disc channel?
but not wii games? (i load my wii games via usb)
thanks

-edit. i'm on 4.2 J, do i have to install cioscorp to load gc backups via the disc channel? does 4.2 even let you load gc backups? i read there were problems, i may be wrong

Well, now that I got my external enclosure back from my brother, that means I can then use the 60GB hard drive that originally belonged to my ps3 to try out this USB loading business.

Well, with that happiness there, I suppose I have a couple of questions then.

- As far as USB loaders that at least support FAT(32), are there any specific recommendations now?
- Is there a utility to 'scrub' Wii ISO's to keep them under the 4GB limit for FAT32? I understand there is WBFS and all, but I would like to use this drive for other things too.

And I admit, I am a newbie to this concept, so please... be gentle.
