have I gotten an answer yet? I can't find it between all of the childish namecalling.

so is it the "loader" that is outside of that folder, or one of the loaders inside of the folder?

Aren't you the one that started all this? My suggestion; stop. If you can't even understand the file structure of AKAIO firmware, then don't even bother trying to update the............ thing. But if you still insist:

there's more than one thing called a loader. btw I'm not using AKAIO, I'm using the official. Which loader is it? The one that's separate, or one that is in the folder?

I'm not mocking you, I'm being realistic by saying that if you don't have the sources you can't do any sort of modification and that depending on what you want to do this may be way over your head.

On the other hand, what you're trying to do could possibly be done another way in five minutes with little effort, but if you don't tell us what it is you kill that possibility.

If you put your own personal pride in front of the project, the project is going to hell.
Ditch the pride and let's get to the project, okay?

For stupid reasons I have to use an older firmware (4.17 I think).

I want to try and replace JUST the updated games part of the firmware and see if that works.

The loaders are built-in to the firmware on the official FW, so the only way to update that would be to update the whole FW.
On AKAIO, it is "ak2loader.nds"

I believe it would be copyright against the AKAIO Team if you modified the loader and then released it. That or it'll just piss them off so for the sake of the continuation of AKAIO and the dignity of the devs, stop what your doing.
