Hacking General Questions about getting an acekard

Hi there, I'm kinda new here and I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a few questions.

1. Is there a way for me to get the saves off of my other DS cartridges to use on the acekard. If so, how.

2. Which model of AceKard should I get?

3. Do they support Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. (Not as important, but would still like to know.)

4. Is there a way for me to get the saves off of my GBA games to use on the acekard.

5. Can I get the saves from my original gameboy and gameboy color games onto an acekard with the appropriate tools? (I was thinking something like a Transferer II)

Google is your friend. You can easily find the answer to all these problems if you spent a few minutes with google. Chances are you'd have found the answer to all of your questions already.

...but as far as which model you should get, go for the AK2i. There isn't really any reason to choose the 2.1 over it. The AK2i supports the WFC.

You can get saves off of your DS cartridges with savsender. Just google it. It works over wifi, so you need a computer connected to an open (or WEP encrypted) wireless network to use it. There's a program called the GBA Backup Tool for backing up GBA saves and ROMs.

As for GB and GBC saves, I think you'll need dedicated hardware for that.

...but you should really use google. You can find the answer to just about every question there. There's also the search function of this forum.

are you forgetting that the 2i has contact issues, spring issues, msd seat issues, and the bootloader can be corrupted/overwritten very easily?

this isn't to say that all kits will have these problems, but a large majority do. you only hear about springs breaking on the 2.1, and when that happens it is rare.

Well...guess I was lucky then. I've never had any problems with my 2i. It's not a spring loaded one, either.

If my Acekard will brake can I send it back to Realhotstuff? How long is there warranty I don't want to go to there site to check cause there site crashes my computer sometimes. And I just got the acekard 2i today works perfectly. But now since you mentioned it I am scared if this happened to me contact issues, spring issues, msd seat issues, and the bootloader getting corrupt.

It's not up to us how long their warranty is. Just look it up on their site or contact them if you want to know.

i can't remember but i think RHS has a 30day return policy? all acekards have a 1yr warranty if they are real. you can verify if your kit is real by checking "this" post.

i still don't understand why people are buying the dsi, only to buy an "i" flash linker which runs in the ds mode, and then only run ds mode roms/homebrew. i've read about many homebrew problems with apps/games running on the "i" kits. i guess if you don't have a ndsl then you might start handheld gaming with the dsi. but personally i won't get one until the dsi modes are hacked and true dsi flash linkers are released.

Off-topic but do all the Acekard 2i have that little bump on there stickers because mine doesn't.

The early ones (HWID:44) had a bump/"hole". The later ones (HWID:81) are closed up. I have the later one as well. It seems a bit more stable from what I've read too.
Also, on my Acekard 2i, I use Rudolph's NDS Backup Tool Wifi which dumps the sav data, the cart data and erases cart's save memory(which is really awesome.) Just need to setup an FTP and WEP Wifi Access.. It's too bad it takes so much power to do WPA that the NDS didn't utilize it.

In my case, I bought a DSi because I'm interested in several DSiWare games (which I have no problem buying), the web browser, the bigger screens, the matte finish and to play with the camera every now and then.

And besides all that with a "i" flash linker I can play my regular DS games with the new bigger(ish) screens and extra brightness.

For all that I didn't regret for a second for selling my DS Lite and buying a DSi + AK2i (which, as Da-Bomb1's, came perfectly and presented no issues at all).

I really think that the statement that the "large majority" of AK2is have problems is quite bold, considering that most people that get one that works won't post anything in forums, because they have no reason to search for help.
