You got it correct. On RB1 with a custom DVD modified it can, But RawkSD is about importing songs as DLC, so since the background video is animation, all we can do is create the appropriate animation.

You got it correct. On RB1 with a custom DVD modified it can, But RawkSD is about importing songs as DLC, so since the background video is animation, all we can do is create the appropriate animation.

In RB1 songs are linked to the video in the songs.dta (songs.dtb? I can't remember). Maybe you could try doing the same in RB2 but this will mean bigger DLC and it might not be compatible due to the size of the video.

Just add the line colored in red and see what happens. Of course you will need to add the video into the app file (which is 00000004.app)... This is just a supposition and it may not work!

The idea of RB2 is had animations like ur characters, if u want videos and customs it is possible already in RB1...

Dont disturb the coders with this please, there are other things more important to do...

I think I would like to mix the RB1 tracks with my RB2 tracks so that all my songs from Boston, for example, are on the same card. The thing I hate about RB2 though is the only way to move songs is to delete them from the first SD card, and download them onto the second from within the music store (at least GHWT allows you to move songs from SD to Wii memory and back again without going through their store). I think it would be cool if someone who understood the workings of RB DLC could write a PC application that allowed you to see the song titles of the DLC on a card, and let you copy or move songs to/from another drive or SD card.

my fault for getting everyones hopes up with that link. In fact, I've never used the program, but I just knew about it so I thought I would share.

if that program doesn't work for you, then CaitSith has also made a list of all DLC along with the file numbers over on the IGN Rock Band 2 boards. You can manage DLC manually using those numbers.

now i'm going back outside to drink beers and play on my Goodwoods set.

Although it is a bit off topic, and I don't feel like starting a new topic for it but is the rock band music store malfunctioning? Can't seem to access the new releases content for some reason, anyone else experiencing this problem?

Same problem here but this is not a big deal as you can retrieve new songs pretty easily in the main page of the music store.
