@cheating no just the hacks one. then you install preloader. backups have to be 1:1 copies to work from backup channel of course. I personally haven't found a game yet that at 1:1 doesn't work.
I wonder if someday a noob will come here and ask, "well i was installing riiskimod and then i got to the CIOSCORP part, and i read something to do with taking the wiis power, so while it installed i pulled the cord out. now it wont start, can anyone pls help me?"

No questions yet...looks very straight forward/complete.
Based on what I've got installed (.3 gamma and HBC, NTSC-U 3.2something) looks like I'll just follow the guide straight away

What they first did was take all the original clean IOSs from the wii, and used their computer to unpack the .wad files. Then they added a file to the wad(not sure what it was) and repacked it, and made an installer that automatically installs the wads(which overwrite the original IOSs). The patched IOSs allows the wii to recognize the backup discs, thus being essentially a modchip(without 6x speed and GC loading)

They took IOS249 (used by the backup loaders) and unpacked it.
They then took the extracted 00000001.app that was in IOS249 and replaced all of the IOS's 00000001.app with it.
Thats how backup loading via disc channel works in CIOSCORP.
It was either that or they replaced the IOS with exactly what IOS249 was.

What's the best app to use to see what is installed on my Wii? ATD? I was figuring that since it can delete anything, that it would let me see everything. (haven't tried it yet to see what I can see)

Which .app file?
There are many in each IOS...
When installing the system menu with any region changer m5 when it ask you if you want to install korean disc support and you click no, is it suppose to still install something(titles 1-30 v1080) then ask if you want starfall type hacks? just wondering if i clicked yes by mistake.

Just try to end the program in a safe manner (meaning, if it is installing something, dont do anything but wait till its finished then exit out) and then re-run it. Follow the directions carefully this time.
no he is fine, it installs there regardless its just that if you want korean it patches the ios before installing it.
