On a side note, I just read that the black DSi will indeed be matte. YAY! NO UGLY SMUDGES! I'm not sure about the white one though.

Wait, does the screen size change mean that new DS titles won't work on DS Lites? I mean how would they? The screen would be too small. Also the new DS is supposed to have two touch screens. Looks like I'll have to upgrade to the new DS to keep playing new games. Oh well, I was going to buy one anyway.
EDIT: IMO they should just scaled up DS games to fit the new screen. That way you don't have a black border, and the new screen actually serves a purpose with older games. Hopefully it will have an option for scaling DS games.

You'll be able to play your own music while playing a game. Also pick a favorite sound portion and have it repeat. Do a couple nifty Kai Power Goo things with the face. Nothing makes me want to get this to pay $5 to play Super Mario World on the new Nintendo DS channel thing. They really had a chance to blow psp/iphone outta the water but it's same old same old. Pretty much in love with iPod touch now and the market competition is crazy on apple's app store which keeps many hit games introduced at $10 now down to $5 or even $2 or $1. Nintendo will keep them locked at $2, $5, $8 just like they do with the current Wii channel.
What about the other flash cards? Will they be replaced by the SD card? If so, then I'll keep my DS now, and once I get the new handheld (eagerly waiting
), I will have 2 handhelds to have homebrew on! Except with this one I can actually use the NDS Browser, because my dad won't show the SSID.

you can see that there are no black bars suggesting that the screens are just larger while keeping the same pixel count. no biggie.
