Sorry jumpman, but I don't understand why you are mad. Can you explain why this product makes you angry at Nintendo?
Because I want to have my games at the ready, shown in the channel slots. I don't want to have to erase a game from the Wii and copy over a new one at the speed of a snail from an SD card. This is not a solution, this is Nintendo saying "We don't care, now leave us alone!"

Looks like I'll have to upgrade to the new DS to keep playing new games. Oh well, I was going to buy one anyway.

EDIT: IMO they should just scaled up DS games to fit the new screen. That way you don't have a black border, and the new screen actually serves a purpose with older games. Hopefully it will have an option for scaling DS games.

or specially branded DSi games and regular DS for retail
maybe they would just upscale every game and keep the same regular DS res

You'll be able to play your own music while playing a game. Also pick a favorite sound portion and have it repeat. Do a couple nifty Kai Power Goo things with the face. Nothing makes me want to get this to pay $5 to play Super Mario World on the new Nintendo DS channel thing. They really had a chance to blow psp/iphone outta the water but it's same old same old. Pretty much in love with iPod touch now and the market competition is crazy on apple's app store which keeps many hit games introduced at $10 now down to $5 or even $2 or $1. Nintendo will keep them locked at $2, $5, $8 just like they do with the current Wii channel.

just because the screens are larger doesnt mean the pixel count is different. you can look at the dsi/dsl comparison on the official website, http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsi.html
you can see that there are no black bars suggesting that the screens are just larger while keeping the same pixel count. no biggie.
